I’m not sure we have recruited a Daniel Halverson type of guy out of high school. Physically, he is extremely gifted and we expect him to push to play as a true freshman.”

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Lettered in football four times at Grant High School... selected as the Portland Interscholastic League Defensive Player of the Year… named first team All-State… also lettered in baseball and track... was the linebacker MVP of the Stanford Nike Football Training Camp... a Rivals.com 3-star recruit and named fifth-best prospect in the state... chose Portland State over Montana and Hawai’i.

Prior to Sacramento State: Played two seasons at Sierra JC in Rocklin, Calif…ranked second on the team as a sophomore in 2010 with 75 total tackles…finished the year with 9.0 tackles for loss, including a pair of sacks…also had an interception, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble…as a freshman, he tallied 52 total tackles in 10 games…had 8.0 TFLs and two sacks…was a teammate of current Hornet Jon Bloomfield.

High School: Graduated from Granite Bay HS in 2009…played fullback for the Grizzlies where he rushed for 674 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior…amassed 152 rushing yards against Roseville and had 150 against Rocklin for his season bests…scored at least one touchdown in eight of his nine games, including three against Rocklin…rushed for 777 yards and 11 touchdowns on 140 carries as a junior…had a pair of 100-yard games.
