High School: A 2012 graduate of Garces Memorial HS in Bakersfield, Calif…played quarterback and defensive back for the Rams…as a senior, he helped Garces to an 11-3 record and earned first team all-Southeast Yosemite League honors…was named to the Bakersfield Californian all-area first team…threw for 1,541 yards and 17 touchdowns and rushed for 275 yards and six TDs…threw at least one touchdown in 11 of the 13 games in which he appeared…had a pair of 200-yard passing games, including 243 against Cypress…as a junior, he tallied 44 total tackles as a free safety.

Earned a special teams role and played in seven games... had two tackles on the season... his big play was a tackle for 23 yard loss in the fourth quarter against Idaho State (10/1)... made the stop on the ISU punter after a bad snap, the Vikings took over and scored the go-ahead touchdown to win the game... a redshirt in 2010.
