Logos and Mascot archive

I think it would be sweet to have a collaboration of all the FCS teams' logos and mascots in one place, kind of like the stadium database on this site. http://www.sportslogos.net has a pretty nice site from just glancing at it and that's where I got the UM logos from. Certain mascot pictures are harder to come by, so if everyone could provide stuff from their team, that would be awesome.

New and old mascot logos, and the larger-than-life bronze Great Dane currently in the basketball arena lobby (Why would anything GD need to be larger than life?)

That Texas State logo looks eerily familiar. As in just like the Kitties. Yuck!

UNI has MANY logos so this may get long

UNI Mascot: Panthers
UNI Mascot name: T.C. (The Cat)

T.C. also has Purple and Gold striped overalls, a camo UNI shirt with matching arm band and bandanna, and Panther Posse (football student section) and Jake's Jungle (basketball student section, head coach's last name is Jacobson) t-shirts he uses as well. If I had pictures, other than those I could steal off of facebook I would post them.

Generally the athletic logo's are used much more than the official school logos are.

We were first so they had to have copied us :P

Texas State University adopted the bobcat as an official athletic mascot in 1920. The bobcat is a resident of the Central Texas Hill Country. Texas State coach Oscar Strahan once said, "A bobcat will fight you with everything he has; with four claws, teeth, speed and brains." Texas State was the only college in the country until the late 1920s to possess the name for its athletic teams.

The school's official mascot is Boko the Bobcat. The mascot was selected by the student body in 1920. Boko was the winner of the 2006 United Spirit Association Collegiate Nationals championship mascot of the year

They did for a while. Generally the only time the school emblems are used are on official mailings and on the website, minus the athletic website.

The block UNI and the script NI are not used anymore. The NI was on midfield of the dome until this past year when it was replaced with the current logo. When UNI went searching for a new logo, there were a ton of ideas thrown out, and once the main one was picked color scheme couldn't be picked, so they just made a bunch to satisfy everyone. The primary is what will be seen on the basketball/volley ball court and football field/helmets...per my avatar. The UNI minus the panther head logo is on the basketball warm ups, and the rest are used on clothing. It works out nicely since UNI has clothes in purple, yellow, white, place, grey, pink, brown, green, etc... there is always a logo that won't blend in with the shirt and made it harder to see.

Would you all like me to make a CSD gallery on my website? Yes, it would have my domain name in the URL, but it sure as hell would be easier to navigate or see all the logos and such, in categories, on a gallery. I can make it acessible with or without a log in.

I can do/add the stadiums too. Campus pics, other sports facilities. People can just email me the biggest pics they have of anything to be added. I can do the categories all sorts of ways.

What say you?
