EWU and SHSU set up a H&H for 2013/2014

Two teams who have reached the NCAA Division I Football Championship game the past two seasons will start a home-and-home series beginning in the 2013 campaign.
Eastern Washington, the 2010 champs in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, will travel to Huntsville, Texas, to play Sam Houston State on Sept. 28, 2013. The Bearkats, who lost to North Dakota State 17-6 in last year’s FCS title game, will play in Cheney at Roos Field on Sept. 13, 2014.
The announcement was jointly made by Eastern Athletic Director Bill Chaves, and his counterpart at SHSU, Bobby Williams.
“This series should be a tremendous matchup between two programs that have made a significant impact on the national scene recently,” said Chaves. “Regular season games like this continue to strengthen and add excitement to FCS Football.”

MSU plays SFA this year and I believe goes to Texas next year.

Nice!! Now Cheney will finally get to see new non conf teams, instead of Cal Poly & UC Davis. Both of whom are now in the BSC

Cal Poly is in the Big Sky and will play EWU in 2012, but it will be as a OOC game.

Very cool. Definitely good for the division as a whole to have more and more of these.
