Well, they do want the CAA to look good to start their season. A 44-7 or similar game is the ticket.
Also, you go Towson. Andy must be beaming with pride.

They must have missed the memo about nobody, including anyone affiliated with Delaware State, giving a $hit about Delaware State football.

At least its a bonus game. The deal was for 5 national TV games right?

Man, no Maine game. And no game at a venue smaller than Towson. MJ must be gnashing his teeth something fierce right now.

They're hoping for the casual viewer to think the cahet of a state school playing the other state school could catch people's attention flipping by. Casual viewers would never know the game is non-competitive.

Seems like they are putting all their eggs in a very small number of baskets. What if Towson reverts to form? UR and Nova have recent national championships; would it really surprise anyone if one or the other bounced back to near the top of the CAA? I would have spread the exposure around the league a little more.

I agree with spreading it around more....but I would be shocked as hell if UR or Nova returned to title caliber.

I assume you picked Towson to get the AQ last year.

NICE! W&M travels well and will fill up their side along with the TU students. Should look good on tv.

Oh and tribe4sf.
The new AD wised up and made the visitor parking over by the union. The old visitor lot is now T Club, Tiger Club and football alum.

Maybe it's just coincidence but only "full CAA members" are on the NBC games...

Good question. Turns out (as expected) that ALL NBC-covered FCS games (and there are more than just CAA) are on NBC Sports Network save one: the annual Bayou Classic featuring Grambling vs. Southern at the New Orleans Superdome, which will be on NBC proper).
Other FCS games include Yale @ Cornell (9/22), Harvard @ Brown (9/22), Penn @ Dartmouth (9/29), FL A&M vs. Southern at the GA Dome (9/29), Brown @ Princeton (10/13), Penn @ Yale (10/20), Harvard @ Penn (11/10), and Yale @ Harvard (11/17).
ECB at its best. Did we expect anything different out of NBC?
Here's the link to the entire NBC/NBCSN schedule:

I would assume so since the football TV deal is packaged with basketball, meaning there's no reason for Yeager to include the football only affiliates.

All you Del State detractors....
...your sheets and hoods are ready for pickup at the cleaners.
Haters.

I do not have anything against Del State, I just think these games should only be CAA teams. You know, promote the Conference....

That doesn't make much sense. If one of the teams involved is a full member, the identity of the other team shouldn't matter. Why should Del State get a TV game when another Delaware game (for example) might have better attendance? Empty seats look bad on TV.
Delaware @ UNH (9/29) or Villanova @ Delaware (11/17) would make a whole lot more sense $$-wise.

Nova, has 19 staters back + a couple of 2010 starters who missed all of last season, including their pre season AA WR. They started at least a half doz mostly true fr last season. They will be SIGNIFICANTLY improved from last season's 2-9/1-7. It would't surprise me at all to see them make the playoffs at 7-4. FWIW I'm picking them to go 6-5/4-4.
UR on the other hand, is coming off 3-8/0-8 (they dnp the other 2 worst CAA teams last season URI and Villanova). They're on their 6th HC in 5 yrs, and lost their 2 best players in QB Corp and WR Gray. I don't expect them to win more than 1-2 games in the CAA.

5-7 wins would hardly get me on the "title contention" train
