After a long trip and first round win in Durham NH, the Apps travel even farther and face the Broncos of Boise St. They lose the quarterfinal match by three on the blue rug 17 -14. :thumbdown:

2011: Redshirted.

HS: Graduated from Union HS in 2011. Selected to play in the 4A/3A East-West All-State Game, which took place July 1, 2011, on EWU’s red Sprinturf surface at Roos Field. He finished with three tackles as a starting linebacker and also saw action as a tight end as his East squad defeated the West 19-0. Named by the Seattle Times as a "White Chip" selection as one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Washington. Named to the Vancouver Columbian All-Region team as a tight end and was a first-team All-Greater St. Helens League 4A selection as well. In addition, he was selected to the 2010 GSHLfootball.com 4A All-League team as both a tight end and linebacker. He helped lead his team to a 7-3 record and into the State 4A Playoffs, where they lost to Bothell in the first round. He also played on the 2009 Union team that lost to Bellevue in the State 3A semifinals and finished 11-2 after winning the GSHL 3A title. He also lettered twice for the basketball team, and played for the 2010 State 3A champions in just the team’s third-year of existence. Union defeated top-ranked and unbeaten Enumclaw 51-50 in the title game as the Titans finished 18-9. Union was 15-8 in Boatright’s senior year. He also competed two years in track and field. His championship endeavors carried over into singing as well. Union was the WIAA Large Men’s Ensemble Choral State Champions in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

2010 Season: Played in nine games during his first season with the team…compiled four total tackles, including 1.5 for loss and 1.0 sacks…was credited with a 12-yard sack in the victory over Portland State…had one tackle in four games.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Liberty HS in Bakersfield, Calif…earned second team Div.
