Trouble never finds an offseason at JMU, as do lame punishments.

4 JMU players get disciplined yesterday for their roles in a fight:

QB Jace Edwards - suspended from season opener
DT Anthony McDaniel - suspended from all of spring ball
WR Wyatt Johnson - suspended all of spring ball
CB Corey Davis - suspended for 7 spring practices.

Don't be so quick to judge. They're going to be at a serious disadvantage in their spring game with all those players sitting.

I know I should expect this from UD fans, but please read the article.

The suspension relates to the incident from last summer. The investigation was just finished by Hburg PD, and the suspensions were doled out as soon as the investigation was completed.

Mickey's Monkeys...easily the most accurate title in all of FCS.

Nothing bad about the title...the people who get their panties in a bunch about it are just looking for a reason to squeal like a girl.

Geez, if players knew this is all they have to do to get out of Spring ball you might see more players picking fights. Maybe the proper punishment would be for them to have to practice more in the Spring?

Actually the incident was from OVER a year ago, Jan 2011. 4 then true FR got in a little fight on campus. Some minor Spring Practice suspensions and Jace (the backup QB) being suspended from the 1st game against powerhouse St Francis (since he was already out for the whole Spring practice after post season non throwing arm shoulder surgery). NO ONE WAS CHARGED WITH ANYTHING. Not a major deal. Yep, typical over reacting piling on UD fans being jackasses.

And the typical JMU fans pooh-poohing and rationalizing bad behavior. Although, I thought the comments when Thorpe got busted for smoking pot and suspended were better - "it wasn't his fault, he just inhaled second hand smoke at a party - honest!". You guys have the whole see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil thing down pat in your rationalization of these things - you guys are practically an FBS fanbase already!

Oh baloney. There was one clown poster from JMU who tried the ridiculous 2nd hand smoke defense, and he was ridiculed by by a couple JMU posters on here (myself included). On the JMU board as I remember it that same poster and maybe one other put forth that notion and it was shot down by numerous people.

You have clown UD poster(s) that obviously constantly troll the JMU board (how else would they be starting a thread on Go Hens & here shortly after one is started on the JMU board) starting a thread on Go Hens and here (and I wouldn't be surprised AGS too) any time a JMU player gets in the slightest trouble. Sometime after I see a thread on it on the JMU board I'll go to here and Go-Hens to see if some clown from UD has started a thread and It never fails. Let me see if I have this straight...if a JMU player gets into trouble and it appears on the JMU board, you then take it upon yourself to take the time to check the other football boards, CS.com and GoHens, to see if a UD person has started a similar thread about the JMU football player...then you picture in your mind the probability of a similar thread started by UD fans on AGS. And you are stirred up enough to go a step further and write about the UD fan's "pathetic" obsessions on a football board.

Yea that would be me that started both those threads, and troll wouldn't be the word I'd use as over the years I probably have like 4,000 posts on the CAAZone boards. Don't think it doesn't work both ways with UD stuff finding its way to a JMU board. We're just more seasoned message boarders versus the average still pimple-faced 19 year old that posts on the JMU boards and defends the indefensible like DJ Bryant and the like. Glad to see you try to educate yourself by going to gohens - keep up the good work.
