Surprised I hadn't seen anything about this posted

I'm not going to make any blanket accusations or assumptions at this point, but this is getting very old...

Rumor is that the accuser is an ex-girlfriend (as stated in the article "an acquaintance"). That thickens the plot a little bit. Could he have raped her? Yes. Could she be a pissed off ex looking for some revenge? Yes.

Either way, yes, this is getting very old.

Yeah, I'm not going to try and dissect it, that'll come after it all plays out and we (hopefully) find out some truths. Innocent until proven guilty, but where there's smoke there's fire...

I'm not going to condemn JJ or the girl or Gwen, or anyone else, but eventually someone at UM is going to fall on their sword. O'Day perhaps.

I don't think there is one person (bobcat of griz) that doesn't hope this is all BS. But I can't get past how many times these players from BOTH schools are in the paper for more than what they do on the field. It seems they have a sense of entitlement. Makes me want to puke.

There was (kinda).

It was just a TRO with no criminal investigation at that point, though, so I didn't think it deserved its own thread.

Geez man, this stuff is just painful to read. You want to think it's BS, but with all the smoke coming out of Missoula lately, it does make you wonder what the hell is going on.

My sentiments regarding this are very similar to those of one of your own posters, grizpsych.
grizpsych wrote:Wow! WTF?

These incidents are no longer a just "a one bad apple". Regardless if there is actual legal wrong doing by Jordon Johnson, it is quite clear that the culture of the UM football team is one of power, control, aggression, and narcissism. Frankly, I am sliding closer to the thought that the UM football team should have one or two years suspended from all play. Yeah, you read that right. This is just a game, these players are negatively affecting people for the rest of their lives. Real people.

Preemptively, F-off Player and Growler.
I certainly wouldn't go as far as a self-imposed death penalty, but there is definitely something awry within the system/culture there that needs fixing.

Bullet meet foot. I always knew most Griz players & fans were homos but DAMN! Now you clowns are raping bitches?

Montana is the new Penn State and Eastern is the new Montana. You guy were doing better when you were just sodomizing other men. Maybe you should go back to that. No homo.

The new Montana? Did you just admit to looking up to us? Or did you mean you're going to go 1-5 in championships over the next 14 odd years?

Not that rape should be taken lightly, but the power to accuse shouldn't either.

Charges have been dropped and they have been ordered to stay away from each other.

But the civil agreement gives EVERYTHING that would be in a permanent restraining order, but avoids a public hearing. I have never seen that the investigation is complete, so its my understanding that it is ongoing. Since he has not been charged and there is no restraining order then he can play. If the investigation completes and then he is charged, I would expect him to be suspended pending the outcome.

The civil agreement is quite different. It is mutual, i.e. it provides for both parties to stay away from each other. Also, if it is violated, there are no criminal penalties, like there are with violations of a restraining order.

UM wouldn't have allowed him to start practicing again, if they thought he'd done something wrong or would be charged. Based on what UM knew, it must have decided that nothing would come of this.

Why are some MSU fans, like this poster, so obsessed with hoping something goes wrong for UM? Seems they'd want to spend more time cleaning up their own house. Or maybe it's just because of the long-term lack of success of the Bobcats against the Griz, at least for some of that MSU clowns.

It's because some of them can't handle hippie-town being better than them at something and daring to let them know about it. Inferiority complex? Superiority complex? Both? Hard to say sometimes

I think the smack talk between Cat and Griz posters, especially here, over recent incidents is much tamer than in the past.
