Just saw on his twitter that he's headed to EWU. Things just got interesting.

Where did you read that? Regardless, he's not a prospective player, he's verbally committed to EWU.EWURanger wrote:I'm going to wait until the school announces it before I say much. Just read something which states fans are not allowed to "follow" or interact with prospective players via social media. I'm betting a lot of people don't know about the rule.....probably hard to enforce, but rules is rules.

I think I read it on the Houston forum, of all places. There was a link to it on the SMU board, where I was trolling for info on Padron.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Where did you read that? but as we saw with some posters not being able to keep their mouths shut rules don't really mean shit.
Are you sure it applies to transfers? He's not a kid coming out of HS. Either way, technically he's already committed. I'd expect he'd get the go ahead from Baldwin/Chaves before announcing it via social networks.EWURanger wrote:I think I read it on the Houston forum, of all places. Yeah, I read that bit after I had already posted on here.citdog wrote:EWURanger wrote:I'm going to wait until the school announces it before I say much. Good luck enforcing that one.EWURanger wrote:I think I read it on the Houston forum, of all places. There was a link to it on the SMU board, where I was trolling for info on Padron.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:

6'4" 230 lb former SMU starting QB who beat out Bo Levi Mitchell.SuperHornet wrote:Who?
It will be hard to top the Meyer-Nichols-Mitchell trio, two of which were Payton winners. But I am sure he is aware of the recent success at Qb and is up for the challenge, which is probably part of the reason he's coming in to play. A decent Qb can have a lot of success in that system and with those WR's.SuperHornet wrote:I suspect that "beating out BLM" won't amount to much given how much BLM did at Eastern. That'll amount to the Steelers cutting John Unitas. BLM was THAT important to BSC football.
Not that Eastern won't be competitive w/o BLM. Far from that. But BLM was freaking HUGE in recent Sky history and will be hard to replace with ANYBODY.
He's still rehabbing his ankle. From what I've gathered, he's finishing up classes at SMU and will not be on campus for spring ball, but will be here all summer and fall of course.eaglesfootball wrote:so is he healthy? I read that he lost the job due to injury?
Beating him out at SMU in and of itself, no perhaps not. But he beat him out because he put up better numbers and won games when he came in as a true freshman. Over his two year career there, he put up much better numbers than BLM against the same caliber competition. Granted that's no guarantee he'll have a better career than BLM at EWU, you have to like the chances.SuperHornet wrote:I suspect that "beating out BLM" won't amount to much given how much BLM did at Eastern. Over/Under that there will not be a starter named for Spring Ball.....hmmm?Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:He's still rehabbing his ankle. Cool news. No guarantees that it will pan out as well as the last time, but the kid certainly has the size and more experience than anyone else we have. Did I mention who he will be throwing too?
Yeah, should be interesting to see how Baldwin handles it.EWURanger wrote:Over/Under that there will not be a starter named for Spring Ball.....hmmm?Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:

Even if Padron becomes the heir apparent, we are overdue for a starting QB injury. Vitto, Adams, and whoever else have everything to prepare and play for including the 2012 starting job.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Yeah, should be interesting to see how Baldwin handles it.EWURanger wrote:
