Kyle Padron, SMU QB who unseated one Bo Levi Mitchell, is seeking and has been granted release from his scholarship to transfer. He's visiting EWU in a couple weeks. Discuss. :coffee:

Sounds to me like you boys ar enjoying the Trans QB route as well. It's a good sign when a kid can play early and took the job of great, great QB.

You guy still return your top receiver next year? Number 1 I think.

Kaufman (#1) was actually injured for the majority of the season and should be granted a medical RS for this past season, making him a Junior again in 2012. Nick Edwards was our big-play receiver this year (95 receptions, 19 td's, 1250 yards) and will be back in 2012 for his Senior year. We also return another 1,000+ yard receiver in Senior Greg Herd. Edwards and Herd's numbers probably go down some in 2012 with Kaufman returning, but those three are big time weapons for whoever ends up being the starter. Hopefully Padron makes it to EWU.

Well, if your a new QB you need targets. That a sounds like a scary group. I remember Kaufman, I think I blocked his name out of my head to prevent any more psychological damage than was already done after the NC. Looks like you guys will be taking to the air, no matter who plays QB.

It seems that way, which for us is fairly new since BLM was the first in a while as both Erik Meyer and Matt Nichols came in out of HS. But with the stable of WRs we have coming back, essentially 3 1000+ yarders in the last full seasons they played, Padron would be a great get. He played in a spread offense in HS as well, so I think he would fit right in.
