NoCo hits up Flint, Michigan in 2012 recruiting class.

UNC football coach Earnest Collins announced a large class of 27 signees, including 4 student athletes from Flint, Michigan. Some of which had offers from FBS schools like W. Michigan, CMU and Eastern Michigan. Credit our running backs coach, Terrance Robinson who grew up there and then went to play for CMU.

SHANE BARRON
5-10 l 170 l Athlete l Flint, Michigan l Carman Ainsworth High school
Lettered in football, basketball and track for Carman Ainsworth High School.
All-State performer as both a junior and senior.
Named Big Nine All-Conference player in each of his four years – three times as WR and once as QB.
Holds school record for rushing yards in both a single game and season.
Also holds Carman Ainsworth single season and game receiving records and has the school's longest kick return in a game.
Helped lead the Cavaliers to the Michigan state-playoffs for the first time in six years.
MARCUS FORWARD II
6-1 l 220 l linebacker l Flint, Michigan l Northern Nigh School
Played both linebacker and tight end at Flint Northern.
Three-time Saginaw Valley All-Conference First Team performer.
Also named to the All-Flint team in each of his last three seasons.
Rated as a two-star recruit with a total score of 72 by ESPN.
Recorded 72 total tackles and four sacks as a junior for the Vikings.
Named his team's Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.
BRANDON LENOIR
5-8 l 170 l cornerback l Flint, Michigan l Carman Ainsworth High School
Played running back and defensive back, while also lettering in track and basketball at Carmon Ainsworth High.
High school teammates with fellow Northern Colorado recruit Shane Barron.
Made 57 total tackles during his senior campaign.
Recorded a season-high nine tackles in a 31-26 win over Powers Catholic last season.
Named to the 2011 Big 9 All-Conference team.
MYLES OVERTON
6-4 l 320 l defensive tackle l Flint, Michigan l Carman Ainsworth High School
Made 32 total tackles while playing defensive line for Carman Ainsworth.
High school teammates with fellow Bears' recruits Shane Barron and Brandon Lenoir.
Named to the Big Nine All-Conference team as a senior.
Was named Carman Ainsworth's team captain before his senior campaign.
Also played basketball and ran track for the Cavaliers.
