Yep. Everyone in Slower Delaware roots for the Maryland Terps too. That's a great map.

Um.....I grew up right next to SD, have family in SD, etc... and there is no Bison fan base of note anwhere except maybe in NE SD....the rest of the state is pretty much completely oblivious to college football.

I would also bet more of Michigan is maize than they are giving.

MSU is overtaking the Eastern part of the state! Bandwagon imo

Ducks have all the Portland metro area including the west side. Nike HQ is in Beaverton and the Beaver store is only half in size compared to the Duck store in downtown Portland. I'd say the Ducks have all of Oregon except for Corvallis, Albany and maybe to the coast at Newport.

What this place needs is a separate forum JUST FOR NDSU/UND folks. They can read everything but they are not allowed to post outside the NDSU/UND forum. You both are a bunch of crybabies.

This map shows who will be included when the divisions split and what their markets will be.

If a Montana school decided not to go NDSUs footprint would get bigger but I dont think its going to include Georgia or Texas!

The map is hogwash. I live in Superior Cali and know ZERO Cal fans. I know a few Sac fans, an Oregon fan, a few Oregon State fans, and a Michigan fan. No Cal people here.

Other than UVA grads, the Cavs don't really have fans in Virginia. Unfortunately, it's VT and then everyone else.

I counted 9 FCS teams on there (not counting FBS transitionals):

• Montana
  Montana St.
  North Dakota St.
  Delaware
  Old Dominion
  App State
  Georgia Southern
  Jacksonville St.
  Jackson St.

Obviously the spheres of influence are dubious at best. There's no way Boise State extends into SW Montana. There's no way NDSU takes over SoDak. There's no way Delaware has that small of a slice of DE. Where's Grambling? Or McNeese? Or JMU? Or any of the Ivies?

My hometown in Northern ND has a bus that fills up and tailgates with NDSU season ticket holders. There is no way northern ND is UND. There are a few UND fans, but a majority are NDSU football from Pembina County, and that's on the Canadian Border. I could see a lot of UND fans if you are talking hockey.

Was that a tiny Blue Hen in the corner, hiding behind Philadelphia?

And I know plenty of loggers in northern Maine who cheer like mad for BC.
