You guy are cool with not EVER being able to win a NATL CHAMPIONSHIP? You will never ever have a chance... And you're fine with that?

I'm fine with the product we have not making an ass out of themselves. Until the product improves no team would even stand a chance in a play in game.BlackFalkin wrote:You guy are cool with not EVER being able to win a NATL CHAMPIONSHIP? The only way the SWAC will improve as a conference, is a stronger financial foundation as stated before a conference is only as strong as its weakest link.tampajag wrote:I'm fine with the product we have not making an ass out of themselves. How long the CAA has anyone is highly debatable right now.The CAA has Townson. The CAA is strong
True, but when all the links are equally weak that chain has no chance of being strong. Hiring inept coaches doesn't help, especially when you consider Southern had major facility improvements just 2 years ago.dal4018 wrote:The only way the SWAC will improve as a conference, is a stronger financial foundation as stated before a conference is only as strong as its weakest link.tampajag wrote: I'm fine with the product we have not making an ass out of themselves. *Cough* Stump Mitchell lol hey what did you think of Tx.Southern's, hiring of ex-JSU off-coordinator Darrell Asberry I felt, he should have been awarded the head job over James Bell ,they wouldn't have skipped a beat.Everywhere he's gone the team has improved he turn CIAA doormat Shaw into a respectable team.tampajag wrote:True, but when all the links are equally weak that chain has no chance of being strong. What type of improvements did SU have he only school, I remember having improvements was Grambling and that was for a new b-ball stadium and Doug was practically begging, for a new weight lifting facility before he left.tampajag wrote:True, but when all the links are equally weak that chain has no chance of being strong. Southern built a new fieldhouse in the North endzone (which also added extra seating). They also totally revamped the basketball arena.dal4018 wrote:What type of improvements did SU have he only school, I remember having improvements was Grambling and that was for a new b-ball stadium and Doug was practically begging, for a new weight lifting facility before he left.tampajag wrote: True, but when all the links are equally weak that chain has no chance of being strong. Asberry was a finalist for the Southern job, kind of wished he got it. He's local, played football at Southern Lab. I think he'll do well there.dal4018 wrote:*Cough* Stump Mitchell lol hey what did you think of Tx.Southern's, hiring of ex-JSU off-coordinator Darrell Asberry I felt, he should have been awarded the head job over James Bell ,they wouldn't have skipped a beat.Everywhere he's gone the team has improved he turn CIAA doormat Shaw into a respectable team.tampajag wrote: True, but when all the links are equally weak that chain has no chance of being strong. Me too now that you mentioned it footballs would have been flying all over the place right and the WR core would be much further along in its development namely William Waddell and Javon Jordan two guys with NFL potential.Asberry in my opinion is the second coming of ex-SWAC legend Archie" The Gunslinger"Cooley.tampajag wrote:Asberry was a finalist for the Southern job, kind of wished he got it. I agree with you on the uniforms especially Alabama St those uniforms are beyond horrible and you can add Grambling to the list as well.Which schools have stadiums that need renovations in your opinion?BlackFalkin wrote:When I look at the SWAC, overall, I see incompetence, half-assery, & although some stadiums may be large.. they aren't tailored to the team/program. I also notice strange uniforms in the swac.. Start going with some more traditional unis & build some fcs lever/styled stadiums. For some of you that means a smaller, more realistic stadium. And some a bigger college like stadium.
Those are big payday games for Alabama St,Grambling and Southern.GAD_SU wrote:Participating in the playoffs would be nice but, the Turkey Day Classic, and Bayou Classic are the same weekend. The three SWAC schools involved have no interest in moving these games.

That is more of a sterotype it really isn't truedal4018 wrote:Another problem with the HBCU's is that ppl never mention the game and its matchups as much as they discuss the halftime shows.
Unfortunately there maybe some validity to that.I try to regulary attend the Whitney M.Young Classic held every year in my home state NJ and most of the ppl who attended talk more about the halftime shows than the actual game itself.I attend this game to see who has the talent to play on sunday's in the NFL.GAD_SU wrote:That is more of a sterotype it really isn't truedal4018 wrote:Another problem with the HBCU's is that ppl never mention the game and its matchups as much as they discuss the halftime shows.
To a person living in NJ an HBCU halftime show is probably really exciting they probably don't see shows like that often. People who don't see them on a regular basis will get excited but, people who see them 5 to 11 times a season year after year don't get to excited.dal4018 wrote:Unfortunately there maybe some validity to that.I try to regulary attend the Whitney M.Young Classic held every year in my home state NJ and most of the ppl who attended talk more about the halftime shows than the actual game itself.I attend this game to see who has the talent to play on sunday's in the NFL.GAD_SU wrote: That is more of a sterotype it really isn't true
Yes but when pro scouts come calling they aren't there to look at cheerleaders.GAD_SU wrote:To a person living in NJ an HBCU halftime show is probably really exciting they probably don't see shows like that often. Example: A person who was born a raised in Paris doesn't get excited about seeing the Eiffel, how ever if I got to see it I would be snapping pictures from every angle I could and come back home telling i got to see the Eiffel tower.
Alabama A&M needs a new logo and a solution to the large gap from field to stands. (idk if this is THEIR stadium)dal4018 wrote:I agree with you on the uniforms especially Alabama St those uniforms are beyond horrible and you can add Grambling to the list as well.Which schools have stadiums that need renovations in your opinion?BlackFalkin wrote:When I look at the SWAC, overall, I see incompetence, half-assery, & although some stadiums may be large.. they aren't tailored to the team/program.
