Andy Coen to Richmond?

I think this might happen. Coen took a picture of the scoreboard after the game tonight and stood out on the field by himself for a few minutes. It would seem natural that Coen moves on and Lehigh alum and offensive coordinate Dave Cecchini takes over as HC.

If I were Coen, I'd make sure I take that OC. Fantastic game plan yesterday!

Cecchini is a Lehigh alum.

Call me out of touch, but why would he want to leave a team that seems to have its **** together for a rebuild project? Some part of the story id missing for it to make sense.

Coen has no ties to the Lehigh program besides time. I think it makes sense that he would move on thus allowing Cecchini to take over as HC. It might seem a little weird given Lehigh's success the last two years to an outsider but for those that follow Lehigh it wouldn't be a surprise. Lehigh fans do not want to lose Cecchini!!
I hardly think Richmond is a rebuilding prodject. They faced a lot of adversity this year but have all the pieces in place to turn it around in a hurry.

Bethlehem is actually a nice place given its size. The greater Lehigh Valley has over 750,000 people and is a stones throw away from NYC and Philly. The Eagles host their preseason camp there so the school gets a lot of pub during the summer. There's also a lot of HS talent within a 100 mile radius like there is at Richmond.

Not to start a smack thread...
...I've spent time in both places (quite a bit of time in Bethlehem). Other than Frank's Pizza and South Mountain, Richmond wins (imho). Ignoring alum pride...if you were Coen, would you choose Bethlehem over Richmond?
Richmond has a strong program capable of NC in any year.

He has no ties to Lehigh so it would make sense for him to leave. His stock might not be higher than it is now and Lehigh has a successor ready to take over. The PL is going to get scholarships and when that happens Lehigh will be competing for titles too imo. I know Richmond won a title a few years ago but historically Lehigh is Richmonds equal. The top private school programs in the country are Furman, Richmond, Lehigh and Wofford.
