That's kinda deceptive, Blue. What are these attendance figures in terms of maximum occupant load?
While ODU may still come out in front, it might not be as big a difference as the raw numbers might indicate.

Did you bother turning on the TV for the EKU game? There was nobody there. It was pathetic. Nothing deceiving about it.
EKU had no business being in the playoffs, let alone hosting.

Stony Brook game was a sellout at 8,132. Eastern Kentucky was sad a 22,000 seat stadium on national TV. Tennessee Tech can fit 16,500. We could of easily sold 40K.

I did not see that game, unfortunately. I caught the tail end of the Tech game on ESPN 3 online. How many times do I have to tell you dummies I don't have cable? Sheesh!

that stadium looked like CSUs. I was expecting something better. I have to say, I watched the first half on TV and was bored to tears...to tears!

If you caught the Tech game on ESPN3 you could have got any of the games.

Agreed. The camera was on the visitors side and faced the home side - which looked to be 25% full at best.
Embarrassing. EKU didn't deserve to be in the playoffs let alone host a game.

I know it was a good game and a game between two programs with national championships but I still can't understand why ESPN decided to televise the EKU-JMU game on ESPNU. I think out of the 4, the ODU-Norfolk State game was the most intriguing and had the best environment by far.

because they are the programs ESPN has heard of.
the one thing that should be apparent to FCS fans - there is literally nobody - not even a token schmo at the four-letter who pays ANY attention to FCS...

True. I also think its weird that they televised a game on ESPNU this week but none of the games next week...

Couldn't agree more. But that makes me a "token schmo" who pays no attention to ESPN. Fair is fair.

True. I also think its weird that they televised a game on ESPNU this week but none of the games next week...
possibly a contractual obligation
thing is - ESPNU has VERY little market penetration
in 09 it was AVAILABLE in 46 million homes... with no data on how many actually subscribe - whereas ESPN3 was available in 41 million homes... and those consumers didn't need to purchase a premium cable package to get it.
I know with comcast, ESPNU isn't even part of the sports package - you have to buy yet another tier of service to get it...
For all of the complaining by people on this board - MORE people have access to ESPN3 at this point than ESPNU - and since they won't put the games on their main networks (which have insane market presence) - the fact that they are all televised (online) is pretty damn good.
