NDSU will lose in the second round, minimum. Start planning for '12.

NDSU might have toughest game in the 2nd round with JMU, although they didn't do GSU any favors either with ODU potentially looming. I can honestly see #2 and #3 falling in the 2nd round, although moreso that NDSU does.
ps. obviously JMU needs to beat EKU first.

Playoff experience says JMU beats NDSU.

When Cap'n Cat picks against the Bison on an odd numbered day, they usually win.

According to lakes, NDSU has sold out every game, over maximum capacity. In the real world, they probably havent even had an official sellout.

NDSU is averaging 18,272 or 97.71% capacity. But thats what NDSU gives the NCAA, the offical numbers is what Lakes says.

So now teams are not relevant because they might not have the fan support that other teams do? GOTCHA.
What exactly is the attendance cut-off for a team to be talked about?

If I recall correctly, the last three National Champions have had pretty average to below-average attendance figures by FCS standards. I think it's safe to say attendace =/= relevancy, although it sure helps on message boards.

Agree, Villanova has embarassing attendance figures and yet they won a National Championship, same with Richmond as well. I guess the statement can be made "If a team has a national championship season and nobody sees it, did it really happen...."

Vill. had 4000 some for a Semi-final game on TV. Not the players fault.

Since you won't win a National Title you can always brag that you had a larger attendance than most FCS teams.

I think NDSU has a very tough road to the title game. If they win next weekend (Not a guarantee against JMU or EKU), They have to face Towson or Lehigh (Most likely Towson, but I'm being fair here) in the Quarters. Now tell me which poison do you want (in the dome), One of the top rushing offenses in FCS (Towson) or one of the top passing offenses in FCS (Lehigh). You better have a very good defense to stop either of those teams. NDSU has the toughest road to the title game of any top four seed.

I agree, JMU has a very good defense, I think they'll win today and then I think if your NDSU you'd much rather face lehigh. I think NDSU could win a high scoring game against Lehigh where facing Towson could really lead to a game that is grinded out by long drives. So again, would much rather face lehigh.

EWU averaged 6830 in 2010.

I think if you're NDSU you're more interested in which defense you'll face than which offense.
If you play tough against the run they have a problem and I think that any DC preparing for them is going to take the make-the-QB-beat-us-with-his-arm approach. Their QB is good at running their offense and has been fortunate in that he has been able to throw when he wants to this season, rather than having to catch up; coming from behind isn't their strong point.
I don't like their chances in a shoot out with playoff teams, but I like their chances in a grind-it-out game. NDSU wins by not making mistakes and keeping things in front of them with the Tampa 2. That's what they did last year when they backed into the playoffs and then made a very nice run.

You know you won't. First, you'd never get by UNI again and, second, there are at least five other teams in the field better than the Herd.
Need more?

GaSouthern
ASU
Montana
Wofford
ODU
Towson
UNH
And that's just off the top of my head.

AZ, Montana cannot be on that list. NDSU beat them when they were a D-II.
