What about the other game? Who do you like in that one?ODUalum11 wrote:I like James Madison against EKU.
...I hope you're right. It would absolutely SUCK if ODU let a MEAC team win their first playoff game since 1999. Wouldn't hear the end of it from NSU fans, wouldn't hear the end of it from posters on here, heck ODU fans might even hear a little bit from VCU and Mason fans.Dukie95 wrote:Yeah, CAA should roll this week.
Likewise for JMU and the OVC...ODUalum11 wrote:...I hope you're right. It would absolutely SUCK if ODU let a MEAC team win their first playoff game since 1999. game is at ODU's place.........tstidm1 wrote:Old Dominion 30, Norfolk State 20 ODU gets it done on the road,
Hell yes I'm scoring 28 points this weekend.bluehenbillk wrote:Dirty Dukes 28 Kentucky Colonels 16
I just realized it myself. Thanks for the catch. I still think it is going to be closer because of a larger Norfolk State contingent.kdinva wrote:game is at ODU's place.........tstidm1 wrote:Old Dominion 30, Norfolk State 20 ODU gets it done on the road,
If not for another 'mountaineer miracle' game, SC St dang near beat Appalachian 3 years ago.bluehenbillk wrote: ... The MEAC has been non-competitive in the playoffs for years and I don't see them winning one this Saturday either.
Not only that, but ODU played a MEAC team this year (Hampton) and won by 3. NSU beat Hampton by 10. I realize that the transitive property doesn't apply in sports, but I think ODU wins a competitive game. I'll say by 10, but not a blow out.Aho Old Guy wrote:If not for another 'mountaineer miracle' game, SC St dang near beat Appalachian 3 years ago.bluehenbillk wrote: ... It was an ugly 'who will screw the pooch the most' turnover-fest. The game was tied with less than 10 minutes to go, and after an ASU turnover, SC St fumbled the ball in the 'red zone.'
The ball bounced all over the place and ended up near midfield where Dominique McDuffie (I think) picked it up and ran for a touchdown.
Final was 21-14.
I suspect ODU will be fine ...BlueHen86 wrote:Not only that, but ODU played a MEAC team this year (Hampton) and won by 3. NSU beat Hampton by 10. ODU played them early, when DeMarco was still QB and did have trouble with the Hampton QB. He'd scramble around and then hit a WR in stride. I'm not sure the NSU QB can keep plays alive the same way.BlueHen86 wrote: Not only that, but ODU played a MEAC team this year (Hampton) and won by 3. NSU beat Hampton by 10. The NSU QB led the MEAC in total offense -- Chris Walley stats.DJnVa wrote:ODU played them early, when DeMarco was still QB and did have trouble with the Hampton QB. Looks as if they have a Sr/Jr dominated roster ...Norfolk State quarterback Chris Walley and North Carolina A&T State running back Mike Mayhew were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Co-Offensive Players of the Year
