A thread for Bison fans to celebrate our first D-I conference title!

A hell of an accomplishment - conference play has been a humbling experience (or at least it should have been for some of our fans) - it's nice to see the Bison achieve one of their big big goals... two big successes this year - beating UNI and getting that monkey off their backs, and now winning the Conference. While I certainly will hope for much much more - I'm pretty damn happy with this season as is.

Congrats to UNI for a great season and co-champs.

It's awesome to be co-champs but I am a bit concerned as the injuries have piled up and we are not playing our best football. We badly need the bye!! Still feel we have a deep run in us but we need to play better on both sides of the ball and players are gonna need to step it up. GO BISON!!

The best part is that a huge part of the contributors on this team are freshmen or sophomores....that will be even better next year. NDSU is looking good for a long time...

Congrats to the Bison winning the MVC in a year of parity and tough competition.

Congrats (although you're still sharing with us) and best of luck in the playoffs. Hope to see you in Frisco.

A little recognition is in order to the rest of the MVFC for one of the tougher conference seasons for awhile. Some great games and a vast improvement by some teams from last year. Still upset to see IlSt left in the cold when all they did was play their hearts out yesterday but I can't feel bad for YSU and InSt. when they clearly weren't prepared yesterday.

This conference was much stronger than the BSC, OVC, etc...and the fact that we have just as many teams in as those conferences does not reflect on just how good this conference was this year (2 OVC teams is an absolute joke. Someone needs to beat Jim O'Neil in the head with a sock full of pennies so that he can have some sense knocked into him ).

I agree so I am going to tell NDSU that UND is the sole 1994 NCC Conference champ since we beat the Bison 34-13 in the Fargodome. And for them to take down that 1994 Co-Champions banner in the Fargodome.

the only way there should be co-champs is if the two teams with the best conference record didn't play each other. otherwise - the winner ought to be THE champion.

I agree too. It's a stupid rule, but it is what it is. Congrats to both teams and good luck in the playoffs!

I agree too but will NDSU relinquish all their previous Co-Champion banners in protest?

I would love to see lakes deny the past doesn't matter. Pretty sure that would make NDSU as relevant as YSU then...oh wait, less relevant since they won the head-to-head
