Terrible move by the MSU administration.

They have a point, though......
"Allen and the Bears were saddled with the toughest schedule in school history this season as the Bears played Football Bowl Subdivision powers Oregon and Arkansas — both current top 10 teams — on the road.
MSU also is the youngest team in the Missouri Valley Conference and Allen has said he is eager for the chance to see that young talent turn into a winner next season.
“He’s the head coach, but it’s not just him,” Moats said. “We all have go to help out — from an administrative standpoint, from a fans standpoint. We’re all in this together.“We’re going to make every effort to make it happen and turn it around.”
Has to make significant progress in '12.

Maybe MSU can't afford to buy him out. A lot of athletic departments are in the predicament now.
