I would love a matchup with Lehigh.

So NDSU loses to YSU at home while GSU loses to App. State in Boone, and NDSU gets a higher seed? Don't think that'll happen.

For the love of all that is decent, not Wofford AGAIN. :ohno:

As pointed out elsewhere, Norfolk did not bid.

Does anybody know who did bid for the FCS playoff home games? I'm surprised that it is that open knowledge who did and didn't bid until next week when the official bracket is released.

NDSU has an FBS win though, plus better FCS wins. It very well might happen.

Illinois state, if they beat UNH in this scenario, would play NDSU... conference rivals cannot play each other in their first playoff game.

That's debatable.

False. The rule only applies if BOTH teams are playing their first playoff game. In that scenario, ILS would be playing their second.

From the handbook:
7. Teams from the same conference will not be paired for first-round games or for secondround
games when both teams are playing their first games of the championship;
8. Once the first-round pairings have been determined, there will be no adjustments to
the bracket (e.g., a top-four seed may play a conference opponent that advanced out
of the first round
.)
that is taken word for word from the NCAA handbook, though I did underline for emphasis (and added a closing parenthesis)

The teams are OK. The matchups are off.

Norfolk would travel to Liberty --> winner at Georgia Southern
Albany would travel to UNH --> winner at either of the remaining seeds
Indiana State vs. TTU (Not sure who would host) ---> winner at either of the remaining seeds
Illinois State vs. UCA (Not sure who would host) ---> winner at either of the remaining seeds

That bracket is messed up. Why doesn't Montana get a Southland team first?

I stand corrected.

I'd trust this defense to handle that scheme much better.

Plus I'll take SHSU over any other seed

Not sure why you would think it is messed up.

I believe he said over any other SEED (i.e. MSU, NDSU, GSU), not any team in the field.

And don't make us remind you of your trip to Missoula the same year, when it counted. :coffee:

Early in the year. Has to be much cooler now than then. Global warming and all.

you dont have to remind me i was there, and had a blast in Missoula. This team actually plays a little def (12.5 ppg) that bearkat team did not.
