on when he'll come back onto these boards? Hopefully never. Also I really don't think this loss is that big of a deal to NDSU fans. Yeah they probably wont be ranked #1 when the new polls come out but they'll still earn a pretty decent seeding in the playoffs. This loss might actually benefit them...get it out their system before the playoffs.

Yeah, this isn't like the BCS where you need to run the table to have a legit shot to play for the national championship.

His #2 team in the MVFC is YSU so he shouldn't be too upset.

Yea, its just stupid, Im so pissed at NDSU's shot at 15-0 and running the table in FCS, and doing it again next year and leaving for FBS in year 3! no way we should've lost a game that you clinch #1 and conf champ, NO WAY!

IMO, a 14-1 national championship team is just as good as a 15-0 championship team.

Im an all or nothing type of guy. screw it, talked to a few players they are all mad and shit, but that doesnt make me feel any better, you got #1 seed, ESPN2 SEMINFINAL GAME IN YOUR DOME and everything right there, you're up 21-10 with 2:23 left before halftime.

STOP THEM, get back in 2nd half and make it 28-10, game over, ARGH>

IMO losing one makes the team better and more focused.

That kinda-sorta depends on who the team you lose to is. I'm sure you'd feel that a 14-1 NC year is a failure if that one loss was to the Kitties, just the same as if our 14-1 loss was to the Manure Pile.

The opposite is kinda true. I'm sure you'd feel at least a little better about a 1-10 year if that one win were against the Kitties.

I don't mean the same "failure" there that lakes does. Of course you're going to celebrate. But later when you remember that the loss was to your hated rivals, that's going to eat at least a LITTLE bit, and definitely more so than if the loss had been to just about anyone else.
