You know, I had that in there and backed it out... until your presidents stop being such moronic hyprocrites, the Ivy can suck it.

No brainer, WoCo and GSU will pretty much decide SoCon champ and autobid. My money's on the Terriers.

You know, Hen, I think you'd have the same bad attitude even if the Ivies were in the playoffs. :ohno:

This isn't the first time you've tried to paint me as an Ivy basher. You didn't come up with anything last time. Although, maybe I am one when it comes to football. I've seen Penn go 7-0 in the Ivy three times in the last ten years only to lose OOC games to Villanova and Lafayette. Harvard very well could go 7-0 this year with a loss to a sub .500 Holy Cross. In 2007 they went 7-0 with losses to Lehigh and Holy Cross. That would be half the time with the undefeated Ivy Champ losing their OOC games to what should be lesser opponents. Throw in that we'll never know how they would actually fare in the playoffs =

I'm the TTU-EKU vote - for all those OVC 'marbles' (since they will only get one this year)

Georgetown has had a nice run -- Lehigh will bring them back down to Earth. Everyone else is playoff-bound.

ODU needs to beat W&M to be a playoff lock.

Georgetown-Lehigh is the game to watch considering the implications. Georgetown wins and they could really mess things up whereas 4 teams in 2 of the 3 match-ups are already playoff teams. FWIW, I also think ODU-WM should at least be honorable mentioned as well.

You must be saying this just to get me fired up because I honestly cannot see why you think that. :? Have you done any research on who else can become playoff eligible?

It doesn't matter how often he says it, it isn't true. ODU has already locked up a playoff spot. PERIOD.

Fine, but at least you can see my position is based on facts and rational thought. 8-)

He keeps on saying it but he has no logical information that supports what he is saying. The FCS as a whole is down this year so from all the "Playoff Eligible" threads it looks like there will only be a handful of teams on the bubble this year fighting for that last playoff spot. Also there have been 0 teams since 2003 with 8 wins from the CAA that haven't made it to the playoffs. Now if Aho was saying ODU needs to beat WM to secure a bye week than I would agree with him 110%.

You guys simply make stuff up and ignore reality.

Don't make me post my updated spreadsheets that show not only does ODU have the weakest OoC schedule in the CAA, you have the weakest in-conference schedule in the CAA. And in case you missed it, the FCS is not 'down this year,' the CAA is 'down' to the MVC and the SoCon, primarily in OoC strength of
schedule.

Now, please feel free to go read the Selection Criteria in the NCAA Manual, and count the number of times it mentions the won-lost record of a team will be scrutinized to determine a team’s strength of
schedule
.

Please. Prove me wrong. Lose to W&M, and take your chances against a 7-4 Delaware that not only beat you, but will have beaten two teams that beat you, too.

And if that happens, what I foresee is the Committee avoiding the CAA beyond 3 teams.

I missed it too I guess. I-AA is down as a whole. Just look at the Top 25 polls and it's crystal clear. When a 5-4 Blue Hen team is 15-18 and nobody can find a decent team to knock them down any places... I-AA IS down. When we're talking about maybe a second MEAC, PL and OVC or a Pioneer team to fill the field... I-AA IS down. When the Big Sky only gets in two teams and the MVC is scrambling to find a third team... I-AA IS down.

Guys....there is an easy way to judge if football is down....

If UD isn't a top 10 team...clearly all football is down.

What does it say about how shitty UD is that even in a down year they suck shit

That 5-4 Blue Hen team is ranked 15-18 based on one word, "Delaware"
