This poll has been an ABORTION all year, sadly its the only one the media will.report.

Obviously when IlL state and cal poly are below a ONE (legit) FCS WIN und, thanks for great west + big fluffy's 4 votes.

Montana State got screwed....

Last week
Montana State 641 points and three first place votes
--Missouri State 0 points.

This week
Montana State 618 points and three first place votes.
--Missouri State 23 points

Of course it's been clear for sometime now that nobody checks these poll submissions for accuracy. Same thing is happening with NDSU and UND and probably Jacksonville State and Jacksonville.

Whoever is voting San Diego into the top 25 should have their voting privileges revoked. No offense to my South Dakota friends but can somebody take a stab at why the Yotes are ranked 15th in the Country?

I thought Cal Poly and South Dakota were pretty evenly matched but according to this poll USD should kick some Mustang a$$! I guess we will see.

This poll has been an abomination all year long and it continues this week.

1. MISSOURI STATE (23)???? They are 1-7 on the season... had to have been a mix-up between Miss St. & Mont St.
2. Ill St. not ranked AND behind #15 USD? & #18 IND St. after beating both schools?
3. Delaware and W&M seem a little high at #20 & #21 with 4-4 records. But I would only put Ill St. & Liberty ahead of them, maybe Harvard.
4. CP is not ranked but UND still is after CP beat them on the road?

I wonder if Maine can crack the Top 10 if they win the rest of their games (and the CAA)???

Umm, Cal Poly is in the Great West and will be Big Sky next year too. Why would the voters slant towards UND over them? Not saying I don't agree that ISUr and Poly should be ranked over UND (ISUr and Cal Poly are in my poll, UND is not), but just trying to follow your logic. Thanks in advance :thumb:

Interestingly, almost half of CS's voters had Maine in the #6 spot...though TSN and (especially) Coaches gave less respect.

Dying to see how they finish.

Yeah, because The Sports Network poll has only been the primary FCS poll for 2 decades now.

Well that's what they get for sucking against team suck. NDSU took care of business against an exponentially better opponent on the road

Because the three 1-win teams that NDSU has beaten should boost their ranking...

Also, that "exponentially" better team at SDSU is a whopping 2-6. Don't forget that 9-3 win over Southern Illinois (which happens to be 2-5) in which NDSU rolled up 210 total yards of offense.

I'm not saying that MSU should necessarily be ranked above NDSU right now, but when comparing schedules, MSU's is much tougher to date.

I know for certain Jacksonville ain't worth a crap...we beat them like a rug back in early September.

You seriously registered to make that response?
MSU sucked against the arguably worst full scholly team in FCS. NDSU stomped their rival, a team that would kick the living shit out of UNC, therefore it's pretty reasonable that they could leapfrog the Bobcats this week. Even if it was actually because a pollster screwed up his vote.

I just thought it was a little ridiculous for you to call a bad team (SDSU), exponentially better than a very bad team (UNC). Granted, UNC is pretty terrible, but SDSU is also pretty bad. The point is, really good teams will occasionally play poorly against extremely inferior opponents, but that is why they play the games right? NDSU hasn't been stellar in every game they have played, nor has Georgia Southern or Northern Iowa. If their poor games mean nothing, then look at 2009 when the undefeated Grizzlies powered out a 12-10 win over a winless Idaho State team.

Note: I didn't argue that NDSU shouldn't be ranked ahead of the Bobcats, but the difference between the two teams they both just beat isn't as great as you made it out to be.

There's a bit of confusion here, guin. SIU is pretty much clear from context, but there's confusion re MSU, which could be interpreted as Montana State, which is clearly Top 5. At the risk of angering MO State's fans, wouldn't it be prudent to bust out the old SMS, or even SW MO St?

NDSU has already beaten Montana State in their stadium and Georgia Southern backed out of a NDSU game... after we beat UNI this weekend NDSU should be #1 across the board.
