I don't think any Great West team is even remotely good enough for the playoffs this year. USD is close(if they were hypothetically eligible), but just got demolished by Illinois State....

Poly. I picked them to beat NoDak tomorrow because I don't think UND can take advantage of CP's pass defense deficiencies. If they do it, they become the definite favorite with SoDak at home & a weak Davis team remaining.

Because of crappy scheduling—2 FBS games and 1 non-DI—the Mustangs have to win out to get in the playoffs, but I do think they're capable of it.

Well, at least CP learned their lesson about OOC scheduling, even if they did go a bit overboard in applying it. They once got snubbed following a perfect season because they scheduled too many sub-par teams.

Served them (their fans, anyway) right after spending an entire game chanting "Playoffs! Playoffs!" right behind us. (That was my one road trip with Sac State while I served as practice filmer.)

I think UND will win it due to the remaining home games with CP & USD.
I am still pulling for the Yotes to win that one though.

Nothing personal against South Dakota, But I hope its anybody but them.....just because the other 4 teams are gonna be in the Big Sky next year

I'm not sure anyone deserves the conference title - certainly no one deserves to be in the FCS playoffs.

Cal Poly has two FBS losses and a loss to a ranked Montana team on the road. We are 2-0 in conference with wins over South Dakota State (48-14), UCO (44-25), SUU (31-27) and UND (23-19). If we win out we will be 8-3 and Great West Champions and in the playoffs. Big game this weekend against USD (also 2-0 in the GW) at home.

Hey bison07 we beat SDSU 48-14. Your powerhouse NDSU bison only beat them 38-14. What's up with that????

At this point USD and Cal Poly are the front runners at 2-0 but still 2 games left (3 for UC Davis) so its far from over. Good luck all in a good conference race!

I feel like I need to defend the GWC. The GWC may not be a top 3 conference, it is clearly not. However the teams/conference play some solid football. Many hear chime in that the quality is SWAC or MEAC level. For fun check out the results between the Big Sky v. Great West this year. If the Great West is weak then what is a Big Sky? There are 4 more games between the conferences this year so it may change. Right now the GWC has a 3-2 advantage with more games played at BSC stadiums. Of the remaining 4 games 3 are played at BSC stadiums.
