Even though they beat ODU in a heartbreaker, I'm still not buying Towson. Now if they beat WM this week....

I think I know what mj's thinking here. (Oh My God!!

Heartbreaker of a loss against Towson, JMU game coming up. Classic trap game. Plus, and MM alluded to this leading up to our game with 'Nova, because of their youth, 'Nova is improving by leaps and bounds each week.
Factor all that in with the fact that it seemed ODU came out flat against URI and if the same thing happens again, I could see 'Nova pulling the upset. Make no mistake, it will be an upset, but I wouldn't be surprised.

The "bonus" would be if Georgia State actually beat someone.

I don't have a problem with picking Villanova, I just think that the only way we score less than 20 is if we have a bunch of turnovers, which could certainly happen, but not something that one would normally factor in to a score prediction. We lost another CB so are now down our #1 and #2 CBs. May have lost a DE as well but not sure yet. Still without #1 and #2 RBs and #1 QB. The injuries, especially high ankle sprains, are mounting.

I'm confused ... are you saying JMU has a bad offense? 31 against Richmond ... 34 against Villanova ... 24 against Maine ... 27 against Liberty ... JMU may not put up many points though, but that's because we control the clock and have long, sustained drives. We proved against Villanova that we can pass the ball when necessary, too. Sorry we don't run and gun it all over the field and get into shootouts every week!

Easy picks:
Delaware over URI
ODU over Nova
USA over G-State
Hard picks:
Richmond upsets Maine - Maine is solid but anyone can hang with them, and Richmond is home, desperate, and had an extra week to prepare.
UNH over UMass - the win over Delaware provided hope, but UNH's passing offense vs. UMass's pass defense still seems like a huge mismatch.
Towson over W&M - is the Tribe back, or were they just opportunistic against an opponent they always beat? I'm going with the latter for now.

Absolutely no way ODU is held to just 18 points. We might give up 35+ points but we'll definitely score about the same amount. You're talking about an offense that has roughly scored something along the lines of 41, 40, 45, 17, 48, 31, 35....average scoring offense is 37 points a game but then again our scoring defense is 26 points a game and thats including both Campbell and Georgia State.

It's roughly 33 not including those two games.
If our defense was even somewhat decent and could stop teams on a consistent basis there would be no doubt we'd be sitting atop the CAA Standings with the type of offense we have.

I'm saying you scored a season high 34 against Villanova. And I'm saying that we average more than 18 points per game. How's that for messing with your head?
You coming to Norfolk next week?

Nope ... it isn't really worth the drive/attempting to get tickets at this point. I'll just have to catch it on TV!

A streamer got tangled in the JMU kicker's leg while lining up for the PAT- that likely played a role in him missing. The high winds were causing some of the streamers to go on the field.
Looks like this was taken from upper portion of lower deck, facing small side:
