Weber State Rush Defense

Weber State had 8 sacks, 2 blocked punts and a safety against Idaho State. ISU rushed for -1 yds on the game with 33 carries. The week before, ISU attempted 0 run plays against Montana.
Weber State had one of its best and worst rush defensive games this yr.

WSU is 6th in the big sky for rush defense. take away 1 of our 2 fbs games and we would be #1 in rushing yds allowed and rushing yds per game.

3. unc: 85
4. sac: 204
5. ewu: 78
6. isu: -1 (
)
WSU is 3rd in sacks per game.

Wofford held UVA-Wise to -5 yards rushing on 27 carries last saturday....it's NAIA competition, but I've never seen a team so thoroughly dominated on the LOS

2. non DI: 95 yds
3. unc: -9 (26 carries)
4. nau: 31 yds (24 carries)
5. psu: 30 yds (26 carries)
6. um: -26 yds (9 attempts)
7. wsu: -1 yds (33 attempts)

Lakes is still yet to explain how his "physical" bruising Bizon only racked up...um what was it...ummmm....oh yeah -40 rushing yds on 31 attempts. But I'm sure Bill Fette screwed them on that one

So maybe ISU is just that bad and they ran into a good rush defense. Not great necessarily because they have been having trouble running the ball against everybody. Not to take anything away from WSU because -1 yards rushing is pretty dominant, but it has to be a question of whether WSU is THAT good or ISU is THAT bad. I mean, you gave up 200+ to Sac

I'm pretty sure it's because ISU is that bad. They are a run & shoot team & have no running backs that have done anything in their careers. Against Montana, ISU only handed the ball off twice.

Weber State's rushing offense is also very good.
