Congrats to the Tigers. errr....the Butterflys.....

Hilarious. Towson pulls a lucky win out of their ass Recovering an onside kick and converting a 4th and 29 to keep odu from going 6-1 in it's first year in the caa and now we suck ass.
Predictable, tired garbage.

Wait I only heard bits and pieces, I thought ODU attempted a onsides, originally lost it, but then the home ref came in and gave it back to ODU. Am I wrong?
No one said anything about ODU sucking ass, you guys are good, that is apparent. Accept the loss like a man, next game up.

You lost to Delaware, and we suck. Therefore, you really suck. Let's face it, the CAA is Maine, Towson, maybe JMU and then a bunch of teams that suck.

The ref definitely gave a quick signal saying it was Towson's ball, but another ref stepped in and pointed our way. It's not like there was a question who recovered it. My only guess is that the first ref thought it didn't go 10 yards initially but it clearly went 12 yards and the other ref made the correct call.

How was the white out? I looked at the online feed, but they never showed the stands. The crowd really came through on the radio broadcast.
Beginning of a great new rivalry!

What a fun football game!
Congrats to Towson! I hope next year it's as exciting as it was today (except ODU wins

).

White out was fine if you are into that sort of non-televised thing.
It was a hell of a game and I can't say one team was better than the other. At least 4 big second half plays defined the outcome of this game. Needless to say, three of them favored Towson.
If I step out of my alcohol filled, angry body and reflect on the game, it was a great game to experience. But I can't right now and I'm friggin' PISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSED.

Did anyone play defense today? That's a boatload of yardage usually only seen by the Big Sky and porous defenses.

ODU doesn't play defense. We haven't played defense for 3 years.
edit: I think I've said that ODU is a Big Sky team in the CAA in the past.

Way to act normal. Take your loss with class. If you would have won, ANDY would be first in line to congratulate you.

Main thing is that it sounds as if your team tried hard, played pretty well and you had fun and are proud of your team. That's pretty much what it is all about. You have to lose some to appreciate just how great winning really is.

I wouldn't call ODU a "Pretender", I still think that we're really good, and I think we still got a shot at playoffs the season aint over yet. But this last game really changed my opinion of Towson, they are legit.
Really, Towson had better play calling and they wanted it more this game. Our play calling was terrible and our defense just could not cut it. This was an amazing game (although it was hard to swallow at the end), and I really hope it blossoms into an amazing rivalry. So see you next year Towson... we're gonna win

I'm sorry. For all intents and purposes (i.e., for YOU), yes they were.

WHEW. I was worried there for a second. This game seemed to be the one that mattered most this weekend with all of the hype. Not even NC games had that much.

Crushing defeat, but great game. Towson is for real with their running game, and the QB made plays when needed.
Everything had to go right for that comeback......dropped sure TD by Vaughn, onsides kick recovery, 4th and 29. However, Towson never gave up and played like a team with a great amount character and got it done. Congrats to them.
The only redeeming qualities about the outcome was that our freshman QB played very well and Andy was not there live to see it.

I'm disturbed by the lack of post game threads. I'm assuming the game was played, I've been so consumed with the brawl my team was in last night.

Hey, that's why the game is played on the field instead of an XBox. Shit like this happens and one team loses. One team messes up and the other capitalizes.

Razor, I'll tell you the same thing I tell YSU fans.....good teams find ways to win close/tight games...bad teams find ways to lose them
