Griz lead 13-0 at the half.

It's been very sloppy & inconsistent offensively (2 TOs for Montana, 5 TOs for the Bengals—3 on special teams), but that's not surprising given both D-Lines are dominating the line of scrimmage. Montana has at least shown some signs of offensive life (like a long TD pass to Gratton), but can't capitalize on the turnovers. ISU has done nothing aside from a long pass to Rumble that was followed by a pick 2 plays later. The Bengals have just 2 first downs.

Montana is winning turnovers 5-2 and yardage 217-76, yet only leads 13-0.

Donny Lisowski is the MVP thus far. He got a sack, recovered a fumble on a kickoff, and recovered a punt that bounced off an ISU player's leg. I also believe Caleb Walden forced 2 of the special teams fumbles.

Montana's starting QB has an injured ankle and the offensive coordinator keep calling the option read. Problem is we have no option due to QB ankle injury and thus the play has generated about 5 yards on 30 attempts.

I'm questioning why the Griz keep giving it to Moore on 2nd. & long.

Give more carries to Nguyen, he just had 2 long ones.

You should see eGriz. Hatred towards Pflu dripping from the game thread.

YUCK!

Did Zamberlin return to coach the offense?

I kind of thought people would catch on to this offense.

McKnight with a 42-yard FG. That puts it officially out of reach.

Jordan Canada with a 17-yard rushing TD; that makes up for the bad fumble earlier.

Tavoy Moore muffs a short kickoff. Griz ball.

Montana throws a pick in the endzone. The guy fumbled, but ISU got it back.

Montana wins 33-0.

The Griz won yardage 498-121 and turnovers 7-3. Those stats suggest about a 70-0 game.

Should have been 40-0. No reason to have Montana throw when he did.

Don't agree with that. It was 3rd. & 6 from the 9. Montana made a dumb throw, but it was a passing situation.

I thought Jordan Johnson did alright. He pressed a bit too much in the first half. That pick in the endzone was a terrible decision, but that long TD to Gratton across his body was one of the best throws I've ever seen a Griz QB make (he was on the sideline, but threw it deep over the middle to a spot only Gratton could get to). He settled down in the second half and actually waited for people to get open in passing situations.

The O-Line did better in the second half, as well.

Great job by the Griz D. Breske was in Yost's head the whole game.

As for ISU… When the run & shoot is working, it's an artistic masterpiece. When it isn't, it's the most vile, vomitous shit you could imagine.

1) Sambrano and Canada can absolutely fly!!!
2) Offensive Line was, well, offensive today
3) I question Pflu and Smith for keeping JJ in....bad ankle is not good
4) A win is a win but ISU is in major rebuilding mode so I am not getting real excited about this effort
5) I agree with the post that with the turnovers and yardage...Montana should have had about 21 more points
6) The two game bottom-feeder stretch is done for the Griz...now back to the regular, decent conference teams

I was at the game, in the Griz section and the crowd was not really into the game. I've been trying to keep an open mind about our coaching staff..........but I gotta say, I am pretty sure I could call a more complicated offense in Techmo Bowl. :ohno:

Win 33-0 on the road, shut them out, hold them to negative rushing yards, outgain them 500 to 120, and still you guys bitch. We really are spoiled  :thumb:

On a related note, I'm very happy we have PSU at home this year

Here is the thing about that.....We just don't have that feel about the team like we used too. The receivers don't dive for the ball(Looking at you Moutra!), the line doesn't block like they should, the QB doesn't hit the throws he should. We should have put up 50 on ISU that game with the turnovers and field postition we had. You can feel good about that win if you want, but I didn't take anything away from it other than we have a lot of work to do still. It's a little late in the season to still be saying that. We should know who we are and what we are doing and I just don't see it yet. :twocents:

When did we used to have that team? Under Hauck everyone complained about our Bobby Ball wins, and if these boards had been around we'd of complained about something under Glenn, Dennehy and Read

I mean, I'm not saying our team is great or anything, just making a tongue-in-cheek observation

And how often did people bitch about the Hauck offense being too complicated?
