I agree. The thing you got to love about Montana's FBS games is they come with a very large check. Wyoming, Colorado State and New Mexico State may be a winnable games, but they do not pay like Tenn., Iowa or Oregon.

Yeah, it looks like playing two FBS schools each season will continue as long as Weber's AD is around. Scheduled so far are Fresno St and BYU in 2012, Utah St and Utah (unconfirmed) in 2013, Arizona St in 2014, and Oregon St in 2015.

i wonder if anyone at weber will actually still be excited for these money games now that we have seen 8 losses from 2008-2011. we have played a lot of fbs "cupcakes" but never won.

They are getting old. Three wins EVER vs 1-A teams (USU in the 70's and Nevada twice just after they left the Sky in the early 90's). Playing two of these games every year, when they are almost guaranteed losses, really puts Weber in a tough spot to make the playoffs.

and those are barely fbs wins. usu is a joke in fbs and nevada was basically fcs still but technically fbs.

2013 could be a tough year to get 7 wins. I am glad UND stopped the 2 year FBS schedules after this year. I would rather get the FCS win and get into the playoffs than go 0-2 vs the FBS, unless you get those FBS teams that are at the bottom of their conference.

As of RIGHT NOW, I would consider all of those winnable with the possible exceptions of ASU and NV. Of course, "winnable" by no means implies "guaranteed win." And things may change in the interim. The BEST shot, though, is probably either Fresneck or NMSU.

Flip side is that I would rather have 2 FBS games than 1 FBS and a D2 at home. At least is you were able to win one of the two FBS it would help you come playoff time.
