What the hell ever happened to South Dakota State? Everyone's darling a couple years ago, got in the playoffs (even beat UNI handily!), then shit the bed. Did they "jump the shark" at Montana???? Program meltdown? Obscurity for another 40 years like Southern Illinois again?

5-6 last year, 1-3 this year....how in the FUCK did they ever beat SUU?

I would add that the outhouse seems to be a two-holer, and EWU is angling for the other spot in it.

Yeah, Montana basically set that program back several years with that comeback. SDSU was a shell of a team when they came into Newark last year and got smoked. They still looked spooked from that playoff game. Plus they were an MVFC team and we know how they fare in Newark.

Southern Illinois is on a slow road back. They are a top 20 team right now.

I will put last year squarely on the shoulders of the QB we had. How bad he really was was covered up by the fact that we had Kyle Minnet. Now add to that that he has pretty much regressed since that game, it has not helped the team. Now, I think it may be a bit early yet to phone it in on SDSU since they have been known as slow starters since they have made the jump. If they drop two more games, then this year is bad as well and its time to hope for next year. They have the talent, they just aren't using it right now.
