<<<<<<<FOOTBALL ALERT>>>>>>>
NDSU now scored as the 71st best college football team in America according to the predictor rankings by Sagarin. This is the most accurate overall look from his modeling standpoint. The BISON were 76 last week and still the highest rated FCS team followed closely by Montana State and then UNI.

ILSU falls to 1-2 in the MVFC and 2-3 on the year. Margin for error is going to be awful small for the Redbirds after this one if they hope to make the playoffs.

The Illinois RedBirds are coming to Fargo! This game opens the MVFC schedule for the BISON. It is the homecoming celebration and the game has been sold-out for some time.
The NDSU defense is about all you need to know. They lead the league in scoring defense, total defense and pass defense. The BISON have the #2 rushing defense behind Illinois State.
NDSU will probably unleash a devastating passing attack. They are a good passing team anyway so why not take advantage of the leagues worst pass defense. After that expect the running game to come alive.
The Redbirds will not be able to keep pace. Last year the Redbirds had a good afternoon. They had a balanced offense that moved the ball better than NDSU. They also 17 points off turnovers. If that doesnt happen NDSU would have won going away.
That was a young team, inconsistant but talented. Those fellows have some experience behind them now. There is also depth. NDSU has a lot of talent on the bench. NDSU is also seeing great imrovement in the QB play and our receivers are stepping up.
I dont know if it will be early or late. I think it will be in the second half, but at some point NDSU is going to put this one out of reach.

For eveyone that is putting down NDSU opponents, I am happy to report that St. Francis (PA) running back Kyle Harbridge is the #1 running back in the FCS this week. He is averaging 154 yds/game after being held to only 49 yds by the powerful NDSU BISON defense.
Ashton Leggat of Ill. State comes into Fargo as the nations #14 rusher. Sam Oujuri is currentlty the highest ranking NDSU rusher at #37.
The Lafayette Pards currently have the #36 passing offense in the country, thats 7 places above Illinois State. The Pards had 144 yds against the BISON, well below their 237 yds/game average.

Pretty Sure Eaves will have to wait till SIU by the sounds of it, Heagle hasn't been cleared to play and is NOT practicing. I dont think this game will be as easy as people think, hopefully with 2 FBS wins under this young teams belt and a playoff run they are over the big game hangover and come out and blow them out.
my prediction
NDSU 44 ISU-R 28 Game is close until Mid 3rd and the 4th

Good work by your Bison, JBB.
National Champs 2011 (time for a new banner up top that will drive the mods mad).
Better question is if there is a letdown by North Dakota State, and if that translates into a 28 point win or less.

Those were last week's rankings. NDSU is 83rd. now, two spots below App State.

21,000??? I don't even think that's possible, including standing room. 19,500 tops.

You may want to discuss that with Fargo fire marshal. Just try not to threaten him.

ive never threatened anyone. just told them the truth.
19,500 is capacity, seats sold. they can get 1000 standing room easily

Hey Grizelway! Not Funny!
19,053 is the top attendance for the BISON and the insanely popular Fabulous Fargo Dome: SDSU 2006. I had a suite that year and remember the place looking a little full. I know there were about 30 in the suite including people in the seats. It was a huge party.
21,000 might be streatching it. I dont think the fire marshall stopped sales at 19,053 so certainly there is room for more. Its going to be fun finding out on Saturday!
GO BISON!!!

There wont be 21,000, I see 18,500 maybe less. The tickets sold may be the max but pretty sure there will be some empties. 26,000 witnessed ACDC so the fire marshall wouldnt be an issue

You surely realize that with a concert the whole floorspace would be covered with people, you know, the space that the actual football field occupies?

I agree, it won't be easy, I doubt either team will finish with less than 30. If there isn't a big letdown, the Bison should win by a TD or 2.

No shit, I guess I was alluding to the fact Lakes said there would be 21,000 which is virtually impossible considering with your great "catch" that only 26,000 were at the sold out concert, hence with only 18,500 at my prediction the Fire marshall shall not be needed
