My top 10
1. Georgia Southern 3-0
2. Northern Iowa 2-1
3. Appalachian State 3-1
4. Montana State 3-1
5. Delaware 3-1
6. North Dakota State 3-0
7. James Madison 3-1
8. Wofford 2-1
9. New Hampshire 2-1
10. William & Mary 2-2

Not sure how far teams like William & Mary, Richmond, Montana, and Chattanooga will fall. Also how weird is it seeing Towson on top of the CAA at 3-0!

1. Georgia Southern (Have looked like a machine this season)
2. No Iowa (close FBS loss, 2 FCS wins even though the win vs Step. F Austin isn't as big since their loss to TX St)
3. App St. (3 FCS wins, one bad FBS loss and a win over a top 20 conference foe)
4. Montana St (look the best of out the upside down Big Sky)
5. N. Dakota St (2 FCS blow outs and an FBS win)
6. Delaware (a product of their preseason ranking and teams losing, still a question mark but look solid)
7. James Madison (looked rough their first 3 games, including a close win vs Cen. Conn St. and an overrated Liberty team...but beat a top 10 conference foe on the road)
8. New Hampshire (2 top 15 FCS wins in Lehigh and Richmond)
9. Wofford (their close loss vs Clemson looks darn good...huge game vs App St next week)
10. Richmond (FBS win, and 2 FCS wins...tough loss at home to UNH

I think that 6-10 are interchangeable. Some teams have better resumes thus far and could be swapped any which way. The way the CAA slate falls this year Delaware doesn't play UNH or JMU so who knows who is better than the other one. We'll see how good Towson is right away...@ Maryland, Richmond, @ ODU, @ W&M, Delaware coming up with no bye in between.

1. Georgia Southern 3-0
2. NDSU 3-0 Beat their BCS/FBS opponent
3. Northern Iowa 2-1 Lost to their FBS oppoenent.
4. Appalachian State 3-1
5. Montana State 3-1 This team was soundly defeated by NDSU last season and lost their FBS game. They also beat EWU a team that is now out of the picture. They should gain nothing with a win over a below average also ran.
6. Delaware 3-1
7. James Madison 3-1
8. Wofford 2-1
9. New Hampshire 2-1
10. Richmond 3-1

How does App drop after beating a ranked conference opponent? I agree other than that, maybe switch up Wofford and Delaware

Winning shouldn't guarantee you don't drop. I myself wouldn't have a problem if someone thought NDSU was better than GSU, though I'd disagree.

How do you know where pwns had them ranked last week? Maybe pwns did rise them in his ranking. I had them as 6th last week...

1 - No matter how bad TXST may be we don't lose to SFA. We beat Moses all 4 years, have won the last 5 and 7 of the last 8 (60-29 overall). That said, this is not the same team as last year and I tried to tell people that before the season. But did any of you listen to me? Noooooo. And then they get votes because people were all impressed because they plastered a transitioning DIII.
2 - So don't denigrate UNI because we beat also them. We almost always do. UNI won because they can defend a pass. I have said, for the past however many seasons, that if you can defend the pass against SFA, you can beat them.
3 - SFAs problem, at least this year from what I saw, is they drop passes and still, basically, have no running game. The passes they did get (32) were, for most part, 10 yds or less. They had 353 passing last night but NO passing TDs. Fact is, we gave them 2 TDs. One was a pick 6 and the other was a 100 yd KOR ( :ohno: ). Otherwise they got 1 TD and 2 FGs.
4 - I'd put UNI up there and I'd move SHSU up (They're the team to beat in the SLC this year.) Can't really gauge McNeese yet.

Tell you right now, NDSU will win the MVC. Hopefully UNI gets the at large where they'll lose in the quarterfinals or first round to the OVC chump, at home....

NDSU is tops in the nation right now. UNI should be 7th or 8th.

I was at the Bison/Goofer game and NDSU was dominant after the first drive. It was the first time all year that they played a full game and I was extremely impressed. The passing game was very efficient, and the the defense was stellar as usual with 2 touchdowns! They easily could be #1, however, realistically i think they won't be. That's why I have them at #2. & UNI is NOT 7th or 8th, they are a very solid team. No question that they are in the top 5.
