Hang in there DSU. Obviously south carolina states coach does'nt have the class of KC KEELER. At least we called off the dogs against an overmatched opponent. Hopefully it gets a little better down the road. :)

Honestly I feel that we brought it on ourselves because of some comments made in the papers leading up to the game. I think SC State was sending a message
Brandon Harvey, a senior linebacker for DSU, believes last week's experience, however painful it might have been, will pay dividends for the Hornets.

"I don't think any MEAC team is better than Delaware, including South Carolina State," Harvey said. "That's definitely not the result we wanted. We wanted to stop the run and we couldn't do it. We planned to stop the pass and we couldn't. We've got to get better."

Still, 116-0 :ohno:

The fiascos of the last 2 weeks wouldn't have happened with Al Lavan at the helm. DSU made a fatal mistake in firing him.

I guess watching your team blow two second half leads in two games isn't looking so bad to me now. Thanks for cheering me up DSU. :thumb:

Last couple games reminds me of Neil Lomax and the Portland State days...

You know the term "lack of institutional control", DSU suffers from a "lack of institutional common sense". This is why you DON'T have players on the team have a voice in who the head coach should be.

When I saw DSURocks' post above with "116-0" in it, that was the first thing that crossed my mind. :o I remember that Portland State game like it was yesterday: after the '79 YSU-UD shootout, but before kids!
