This game is on ESPNU tonight and for anybody with the channel I'd suggest watching it. I think this will be a great game to watch tonight. I believe BC made the FCS playoffs last year? Also Hampton has a really good team this year and I'm not just saying that because they almost beat ODU. I truly believe they have a good team and they got a couple good offensive players to watch in RB Chisholm and their QB David Legree who is a Syracuse transfer. They also have a couple good FBS transfers on the defensive side of the ball. I really think this has the makings to be a great game.

It seems like the MEAC is on ESPN a whole lot. Do they have some sort of deal with the network? And if so, why? I think the Big Sky, CAA, or MVFC would make for way better football games to showcase the FCS. Everytime I catch a MEAC game on televsion, everything from the atmosphere to the stands to the actual game itself seems meh.
That said, I'll be lookin' forward to watchin' this one tonight.

No. It's the MEAC. They get curb stomped by good teams in the playoffs. Last year the MEAC got two bids...Georgia Southern beat SC St 41-16 and New Hampshire won at Bethune-Cookman 45-20. In 2009, they lost a close one at App St. 2008 MEAC lost 37-21, 2007 blown out 44-7, 2006 was a home Hampton loss to New Hampshire, 2005 Hampton was a #3 seed, blown out at home 38-10 vs Richmond, 2004 lose vs William & Mary...I could go on and one. Bottom line, while the MEAC games are entertaining, they are most likely not good teams...they usually get handled pretty easily come playoff time when they play a good school.
Plus ODU, you are in the CAA now...close home wins against MEAC teams are not acceptable. If you are going to wear the patch you better live the patch

You might be right but its definitely worth watching Hampton just because of their QB and RB. Plus that game last week might have been our worst game in our 2+ years of having football...not making excuses and not saying this saturday will be better.

I'll just say from what it sounds like, David Legree, Hampton's quarterback could be playing on Sunday's next year.

I just hope that Hampton plays well, if not I could look like a huge idiot.

I'm willing to bet though you'll be impressed with this kid from Hampton because he was certainly impressive against ODU.

It's tough to use transitive properties in sport. You'll see that in the CAA. Team A beats team B, then B beats C, but C then turns around and beats A. Any given Saturday...I'd hope that Hampton puts up some points to justify to a small degree their performance vs ODU.

I think every single ODU fan would definitely agree with you. I think every ODU fan is hoping to see the Pirates put up 50+ points tonight against IMO a pretty good BC team that made the playoffs last year.

This is the first time I've ever seen a female ref for an NCAA football game.

WTF - the referee is a white woman in a MEAC game. First chick I've ever seen ref a football game. By the way, Hampton does not look very good so far.

No they don't, but they're also on 4 days rest (from a shootout nontheless) while BCU's had 11 days to prepare.

Very sloppy game from what I saw last night. Only watched the first quarter until I decided to turn it off. Looking at the boxscore....
Legree was 14-29 for 225 yards and 1 TD. Ran 15 times for 45 yards and 2 TD's. He also had a very nice 50-yard TD pass early on in the game...
