I'm taking the Bobcats.

One stat looms large: points per yd:

the EWU pts/yd is .053. Not good. Very average team.

Montana State on the other hand is sporting a .072.

Further analysis later.

Too bad the game's at EWU, so much for your in depth research.

It's not gonna matter where this game is, it will turn out like last year.

If EWU loses they are out of contention until the scramble for the at large starts. They will be a long shot.

If EWU wins they are looking good for the at large. Montana State will have to beat Montana.

None of these teams are invincible. At this point they are looking OK but not outstanding. Expect some upsets in this league.

If Montana takes care of the ball and wins the turnover battle we will not lose another game all year long. We are the train.....now get off the tracks or suffer the consequences.

The main differences between this year's team and last year is takeaways and home run threat. Mitchell is still inconsistent and throws his picks but we're not getting it back. Sooner or later that obviously catches up to you. We are also not creating big plays in the run game or stretching the field in the passing game.

We are missing TJ and Sherritt.

Still, the defense is playing good enough to beat anybody. We held the Griz scoreless on their last five possessions giving the O a chance to win it. Win the turnover battle, pop a big play, and we win.

if they start out 0-4 it would be hard to believe they are going to even win out and even if they did they still would have a much better chance of not getting the auto. sac isnt exactly done, weber is looking good, both montanas are going to be expected to be playoff teams.

I agree. They should be done now. Another loss in the BSC could put the finishing touches on the Eagles defense of their national championship.

If we lost to the cats and then win out we would have wins over both Weber and Sac. Sac would have at least two losses and lose the head to head. Weber would have at least three losses and lose the h to h. Neither have yet played the Montana's. Not hard to imagine the at large in that scenario.

And more importantly you would have 7 DI wins

If you think the Griz's Offense is any way like the Bobcat's, or that they're even as good as the bobcat O, you poor soul...

The 7 wins is of course the beauty of the "NDSU Scheduling Model". Keep the games intra-divisional. Montana State has failed to do that and could end up paying for it if things start to go south starting this game.

Its way too early to start counting people out. Some teams like EWU are begining to lose control of their destiny though.

Did I say either of those two things? That would be purely speculative. Kind of like assuming the cats offense is better than the Griz based on their showing against the defensive juggernauts that are Davis and Minot State. :coffee:

How can he have time to play on Sundays when it appears he's already having a religious experience in your mouth every Sabbath?

I wasn't aware NDSU had invented that "scheduling model". :?
