Both teams coming off either a literal or theoretical bye week....tough call.

Finally find out what UD & Maine have. Maine lost to BCS Pitt closely & then pounded lowly Albany. UD got beat pretty well by a good Navy team & then tiptoed through the cupcakes of WCU, DSU & ODU, well the West Chester game was half a struggle anyway.

Warren Smith against the UD defense will be a good storyline & how effective UD can be scoring TD's. Will AP go 5 for 5 in 100-yard games this season? Might watch this one on Maine's video feed, see it's like 7 or 8 bucks, anyone have experience with that?

I miss channelsurfing.

Keeping looking ahead to Maine, it will only give ODU a better chance to beat the Blue Hens.

Like it's been said, the fans can look ahead to ___________ game. It's the players and coaches that matter. And judging by Coach Keeler's comments regarding ODU and their talent, that's all they will be hearing about this week.

Great timing for the Bears bye week, it guaranteed that UM will be at full strength. Smith and the whole offense has played great football using a balanced attack that has given teams real issues. Our D-Line is strong, proving that they can get to the QB. They sacked Pitt 5 or 6 times. In order for my Black Bears to win, the secondary will have to play their best game. The CAA will see soon that this is a much better UMaine football team. It shows what leadership and discipline can do with a team that has had talent in previous years.

It's too bad a Delaware station couldn't pick up WABI's (Channel 5 Bangor/CBS) feed. We've been fortunate enough to have either a local affiliate or Time Warner to pick up our games when we've been on the road, last week at Albany being an example.

I believe coach keeler said that he'd rather play odu twice later in the season...

I believe he was comparing playing ODU to eating Chinese food - an hour later you're ready to do it all over again...

Just out of curiosity, why are you commenting on a Delaware/Maine thread? You should be getting ready for your CAA home opener against UMass - they're pretty good...

I believe the main point of starting this thread so early was a direct slap in the face to ODU so that's why I'm commenting on it. And am I not allowed to comment on other games? If so, I'll just go back to Monarch Nation.

Touchy touchy! Don't tell me a little smack directed at our ODU friends gets under your skin so easily...

Let Delaware fans talk junk while they can. We are so far ahead of then in every other sport it isn't even funny. Our basketball team teabags them on a yearly basis and soon enough, our football team will do the same.

It says alot about how scared UD fans are of odu that they actually feel the need to trash talk a team in it's first year in the caa and third year of existence.

God help you if you lose.

Albany left a lot of points on the board against Maine, but Maine left even more.

Warren Smith is a good runner but he missed a ton of open receivers. Maine should have put the game away in the first quarter, but didn't.

Someone from Norfolk calling Delaware an armpit. That's truly rich.

Norfolk is one of the more frightening slums in the country. A quick Google search reveals a crime-infested ODU campus with meeting after university meeting addressing the escalating violence. I never knew ODU was such a shithole until you made me look. Sorry you guys have to deal with such a rash of violence on your campus. That's sad. I hope you guys can get your campus turned around someday. If you can at least make it safe enough for people to study, you might move out of Tier 2 territory in the college rankings. You'll never get into that choice FBS conference you strive for with such shit academics:

Dane- Maine primarily a running or a passing team? And, how was their pass rush against you?
