Youngstown State (2-1) travels to Terre Haute, IN on Saturday to take on Indiana State (2-1). The game will be broadcast on the MVFC Digital TV Network, on the MVFC website for free, and on WBCB in Youngstown.
YSU is coming off their second straight win, 34-27 over Illinois State.
Indiana State is coming off an impressive blowout win over FBS W. Kentucky 44-16.
YSU is 10-0 all time in Terre Haute. However, YSU has yet to win a game on the road under 2nd year coach Eric Wolford.
This is arguably the Missouri Valley Football Conference Game of the Week. Who wins!?

Indiana State is riding on a lot of confidence and momentum right now. They are at home, I like Indiana State.

Ditto, nothing against YSU but I think that the Sycs are a good team this year

I'll take YSU. Should be a great game, though.

What does Delaware have to do with a YSU/ISU thread? You're a Harvard fan, why do you care about Udel?

Answer to first question: Technically, nothing. But I wanted to bust your chops.
Answer to second question: Because I live in Delaware, a lot of our friends went there, and I like to support the local university.
Back to theme of thread: I spent a week in Terre Haute one afternoon after my son'd D-III game against nearby Rose-Hulman, searching vainly for Larry Bird's ex-girlfriends. ISU was on the road that weekend, IIRC.

Yeah, I noticed that over in the UDel-ODU thread.

this will be a statement game for Indiana State, win and maybe people will start to finally believe this team/coach is for real. If it were at YSU I'd pick them, but since it's in TH I'll pick my Sycamores. YSU needs to prove it can win on the road, it'll happen, just not in Terre Haute.

Although I agree it will happen, I would argue our odds are better of it happening in Terre Haute, IN where we are 10-0 as opposed to winning at Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois, or North Dakota State; our final three away games this year.

Here are the highlights from YSU's 34-27 win over Illinois State: " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As you can see, we did the reverse of last year, and passed all over ILSU instead of running all over ILSU.

Ehh, those highlights suck..... Too short, not consistent. They should do it how Montana does theirs.

Should be the MVFC game of the week.

Should be - two very equal teams ability-wise, imo. I like ISU at home in a squeaker, but I worry about a let down after the big FCS win. So I'm picking YSU to win a squeaker and finish 3rd in the MVC.

I think that YSU is probably the more talented team, and possibly the better team. But, they have the propensity to not be able to close out games, and they often find ways to lose, especially on the road.
Like I said earlier, you could probably flip a coin, but I'm going to go with the home team on this one until YSU proves they can win on the road.

This year's INS team is a whole different animal than the Sycamore teams of most of the past couple decades.

I know, our one blogger predicted them to finish in the top three in the league this year.
Although INSU beat YSU at YSU last year, it was due to FOUR Kurt Hess turnovers and YSU giving up 8 plays of 40+ yards. Eliminate the mistakes, I still love the Penguins chances.
YSU by a TD Saturday. Our team does not want to repeat what they did at MSU last year. Go up 19-0 only to blow the lead and lose by a TD.

Indiana St by 2 in over-time, don't know how many over-time's, but it will come down to the 2 point play.
