It's week # 4 in the SoCon. After almost everyone had had a bye last week, most teams dive into conference play in week 4. Only Furman goes outside the conference, with PC visiting Greenville. Seems as the premier match up this weekend is UTC at ASU. Guess we'll see if the Mocs are for real.

I am appreciative of the picks for El Cid, but I'd hold off on that just yet.
If our defense shows up, then we'll win even if our offense can't score. If they get dragged all over the field like they did against Furman then it will be a long day for us.

I've got to hand it to folks like you and cm. Never give up on your team no matter what and always representing on CS and AGS.
The future looks bright for WCU on offense with Follet and Ross coaching and Shaun Warren being a freshman. i fully expect this game will be close at half time, but GSU will run away with it in the second half. GSU 38-17.
Also, I'll take Furman, El Cid, Appy, and Wofford.

Chattanooga at Appalachian State-UTC has played well and beaten 2 good FCS teams. APP was blown-up by VaTech and has beaten 2 really bad FCS teams. Hard to get a handle on App so far as they have been rather vanilla on both offense and defense and the o-line and secondary have looked shaky at best. Going with the homer pick at The Rock.
Samford at Wofford-Expect the Ankle-biters to win at home but this will be pretty close into the 4th quarter. Sammy rarely makes it easy on anyone.
The Citadel at Elon-Just a pure guess as Elon had trouble beating a bad NCCU and Citadel plays good defense and runs that damn option which is tough to prepare for.
Presbyterian at Furman-I expect the Blue Hose to be tired and beat up after their game with Cal.
Western Carolina at Georgia Southern-GaSo will score at will. The big question is can they move the ball with their improved offense against the Eagles D....I don't think so.

Western Carolina at Georgia Southern
Most entertaining game of the week - over/under around 75 points. Tough going for The Whee as they only score 27 of the points.
Samford at Wofford
Best chance for an upset. Wofford a little down after Clempson and looking forward to ASU next week - against a surprisingly tough Bulldog rushing defense. Closet game of the week/Game #1 of the Drive to Save Pat's Job: Samford 20 - Wofford 17
The Citadel at Elon
Ugliest game of the week with penalties and turnovers, but Elon lights up The Bellhops with an Air Raid: 28-17
Chattanooga at Appalachian State
Somebody wins in a blowout by 16+. But, who? The Mocs have played tough all year and are deserving of their ranking - will the Hillbillies get caught looking forward to Waffle?
