1. North Dakota State: B-Y-E
2. Northern Iowa: B-Y-E
3. Southern Illinois: B-Y-E
4. Youngstown State: Took down the Illinois State Redbirds 34-27 in front of 18,543 fans at Stambaugh. YSU defense held Illinois State scoreless on their last three drives in the 4th quarter. That is significant after they blew countless 4th quarter leads last year.
5. Indiana State: After a mediocre showing at best vs. Butler (48-34), they went down to Bowling Green, KY and destroyed one of the worst FBS teams on the map, Western Kentucky. Still think INSU is a dark horse in the league this year. Huge game at home vs. YSU Saturday may determine each teams fate for the rest of the year.
6. Illinois State: Lost at YSU 34-27 as mentioned above. Run defense is vastly improved, but their pass defense is extremely porous. Career day for YSU QB. Their RB's and QB are the real deal however.
7: South Dakota State: Steamrolled on the road at Cal Poly 48-14. After a solid win against Southern Utah in the opener, SDSU has played very bad in the past few weeks.
T-9. Western Illinois: Embarrassing 69-0 at Mizzou. The Tigers had 30 first downs to just 1 for WIU. They may have the worst offense in the league this season; and in a offensive league like the MVFC, that will not get you many wins.
T-9. Missouri State: Led 7-0 at Oregon, then proceeded to get smashed 56-7. Better showing than WIU, but they are still very bad.

I would flip NDSU and UNI, but otherwise I would say spot on, except I would put SDSU in a T-9 until they make some serious changes on offense AND defense.

MO State is better than the scores had indicated. I continue to think that we will finish in the top half of the conference

Wager? I'm not brave enough to think we'll finish top half, but definitely brave enough to say we WILL beat more than WIU.

You are one smart, smart man. We ARE the best in this conference. And this COUNTRY. We WILL win the national championship this year.
Take it to the bank, behitches!

What's the waver.
I'll set it. If MSU wins over 2.5 MVFC games I'll send you a UNI t-shirt.
If they don't....I get a Northwest Missouri State t-shirt. I have no interest in a SWOMO shirt.

Who doesn't want a SWOMOSTU tee? C'mon! Quit fooling yourself.
My dad is a Loras grade, would that work for ya? And my wife's boss is the biggest UNI honk in the world so I'll just give the UNI shirt I win to him

Funny, the guy that says MSU will only win 1 game, want's 2.5 wins as the standard. Doesn't sound very convincing that MSU will only win 1 game.

I'm glad he said 2.5 cause I doubt they win 4 or more!

Fine...O/U of 2.
1 I win, 2 it's a push, 3 you win.
Loras? Hell no. I'm a Wartburg man when it comes to the IIAC

That's got to be close to a stadium record for people actually in the seats.
Nice job YSU.

Nice job YSU.
The 1994 playoff game between YSU and Steve "Air" McNair's Alcorn State was beyond packed. This was pre-east stand days, but the west stands were overflowing with people and they brought in temporary seating in the endzone. Attendance wise, yesterday had to be one of the most ever. However, nothing will top the 2000 game against UNI (20,000+) and the 2006 game against UNI (19,000+).

So, what you're saying is that without UNI...YSU doesn't draw for crap?

You're the closest thing to a rival in football that we have, and unfortunately, it is not much of a rivalry since you own the series. Sad thing is the last time we beat you, was that game in 2000 with 20,000+ in the stands and Tressel walking the sidelines.
Oh how close we have been though numerous of times.

I agree with switching the top two. Even after last week I would put SDSU ahead of MSU & WIU.
