UND will play Bowling Green (no date set) for $350,000, close to a deal with Colorado State and almost there with NDSU it will be every other year. Faison is disappointed at the $$$ with Idaho it was $125,000 each (2010,2011) and $275,000 with Fresno State this season. Both games were before Faison took over.

These are good games for UND. I have attended two UND games over the years. I was at the last game with NDSU in 2003 and caught the game with UNI around that same time frame. Both were very exciting games and I believe UND won them both. Happy to see UND is moving ahead in spite of the nickname distractions. Sometime in the near future I would like to catch a hockey game at that magnificent Ralph Engelstad Arena.

UND's big upset win against Northern Iowa was in 2006, and UND needs that fire back in its team. Glad you enjoyed the games. The games so far in transition hasn't been great at home, but Big Sky play next year will difinately change all that. Plus its nice to see new teams like Bowling Green and CSU, and NDSU  Even though NDSU will be every other year it just gives each fan an extra year to get all fired up about the series. I just wish UND could schedule South Dakota State and South Dakota somehow, do a 3 team rotation with NDSU. not expensive and big hype!

Please please please please hurry up with the NDSU scheduling thing. This will remove one of the stupid arguments used by JaBBer and company about why UND is the Devil. :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

why would NDSU ever plays those racist a$$holes?

NDSU sellouts every game, no matter what, there is no incentive to play those d bags, let them die with thier 7000+ fans, maybe at thier games. They havent had 1 signature win in years, (UNI couldnt stop 1 wide reciever, because their coach was too stupid to double team 1 guy)

Wait, so you're telling me that THE University of North Dakota has recently beat UNI, a team that unds gets their asses kicked by every year, IN ADDITION to owning unds in the series!!? I can't wait for the series to continue!!!

10/13 is only going to get better! Go Fighting Dakotas!!!!

In 2009 they beat Central Arkansas, Cal Poly and South Dakota (you know, a member of the Dakota Big 3?). That was the year NDSU went 3-8. 8-) 8-) 8-)

In 2008....oh lookie...another win over Dakota Big 3 member South Dakota.
In 2007....well, whaddayaknow....another win over Dakota Big 3 member South Dakota.
In 2006....huh. A win over UNI. A UNI team coming off the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game the year before. A UNI team that the next weekend beat Dakota Big 3 member South Dakota State. A UNI team that's 10-1 against the Dakota Big 3.

lakes, I get the hatred....I feel much the same way about the Bobcats, but at the very LEAST don't let that hatred boil over to the point where you insult everyone's intelligence.

Either those are "signature wins" or the Dakota Big 3 is a joke. Which is it? I'll let you pick. :coffee:

edit: and if you and JaBBer are going to continually blather on and on about NDSU's win over Montana in '03, I would think you could accept that a similar win by UND over UNI in '06 could also be considered a "signature" win.

He won't accept that because NDSU got beat by UND in '03, and '02, and '01 yeah you all get the point.

Those deals happened with our former AD Tom Bunning. Our current AD Brian Faison was not happy during the podcast revealing the amount of the Idaho and Fresno St games, and he said they need $$$ closer to 350-400k.

Those games typically pay better, UND's AD just took a low payment for some stupid reason.

Good for UND. No reason to take in anything less than $300k on any FBS game.

BG had two wins last year. One was against Central Michigan.
BG beat Ball state in 2008.

Everybody beats KAnsas and Michigan. :coffee:

No we give you sh-t for Central Michigan being the toughest FBS opponent you have played and probably the only FBS team with a winning record. UND's toughest was definately Texas Tech.

haha. beat a FBS team once, any team.

you have 1 "big" fcs win that was 5 years ago when the dipshit UNI coach wouldnt double team 1 player., south dakota was horrible & cal poly's plane was diverted to minneapolis, (then they took a 4 hour bus ride to stink forks)

So our win in '09 over #16 Cal Poly was because of their bus trip. You are funny Lakes. Too bad these message boards weren't around in the 1990's that way I could read all the excuses you come up with when UND would beat NDSU. Like 1994 first Sioux-Bison game in the Fargodome...Sioux win 34-13 with their BACKUP QB!!! I still have that on tape, and it shocked Bison announcer Ed Schultz. I could just hear you Lakes say well it was because of the all night drinking binge at The Turf or the lighting in the dome was bad or the band sounded off key. Your excuses....classic.

I'm not sure Central Michigan was the toughest although they did win the MAC that year. But a win against any FBS team is a good win. Regardless of who they are. Bowling green would be similar to Ball St. As for Idaho, losing by a combined 89-14 in two years isn't that impressive. :coffee: :ohno:

How about losing 134-14 in all 3 games combined. Seems like UND is scheduling all diffent types of teams in the FBS we have San Diego State in 2012, Wyoming, Bowling Green, maybe Colorado State, and once this nickname issue is put to bed in a couple months then maybe Minnesota or Wisconsin. I think Faison is looking where the $$$ is. He was surprised when BG offered 350, how much is Minny paying NDSU??
