Montana's first home game had an attendance of 25,855, which placed it as the 3rd most attended game in WGS. Hopefuly we can top 26K next week when EWU rolls into town!

What are some of the other attendance numbers? Good to see that Montana State had a great turnout for their grand opening! :thumb:

A disapointing 8,741 at a match up of top 15 teams at SFA for the UNI game.

Disappointing for who? Isn't that pretty decent for them?

I have no idea....only 8k at a top 15 match up is pathetic no matter who the teams are.

26,415 at KBS for the Apps taking A&T to the woodshed. Bit disappointing, but it should pick up next week with a night game and then UTC coming to town.

Just over 11K at the Georgia Dome for the Old Dominion-Georgia State game. However some who were at the game say they think it was far less then that.

Was sad to see that for GSU, if you have FBS aspirations, then you have to do better than 11,000 fans. I know GSU fans will say that this is the reason they should go FBS, but how are you going to support FBS, if you cannot draw 20+ thousand every game?

They think the noon time hurt them dramatically in regards to attendance. A couple also even blamed ODU attendance as they thought we were gonna bring the whole school down with us.

I guarantee you, ODU will have no problem with attendance when we'll have games that start at noon.

Not gonna lie....There's no way there were that many. I've seen games way more packed than that with lower reported attendance.

I kinda thought that too when they announced the attendance. I couldn't tell from the student section how full the upper deck was, but I could see a few empty seats around the stadium. Not bad, but some here and there.

Well that excitement about football sure lasted long in Altanta, but then again, who didn't see that coming? :coffee:

If there was over 5K they were lucky. It looked terrible on TV. Like, worse than Villanova at Temple terrible.

9,020 not a good turnout for the Southern home opener. Hopefully a bigger number will be had for the Jackson State game.

yeah who knew right? I thought since they don't have any other football teams down there in Georgia I thought for sure they'd get the same support that ODU would get.

The crowd would have looked better if it wasn't for the bad luck. Every time they showed the crowd, there were two fans either at the concession stand buying a foam finger or in the restroom.

7,696 at Unitas Saturday. I'm thinking a very large turnout for Colgate in two weeks.

On a serious note, do I need to buy my UD @ TU tickets earlier than a half hour before the game this year?

Isn't it like buying tickets on a train? You can just walk into the stadium and then someone comes around and you can just buy tickets from your seat?

Still too early to tell. We'll see what happens with Colgate. It's the HOF induction weekend. Gordy and a lineback from my days are going in, so a strong football alumni will be there. The Students have seemed to be embracing the team. Ambrose climbed into the student section after the Morgan game, and the students rushed the field after Nova. Last time I ever remember students rushing the field was my junior year way back in '92 when we beat Northeastern with no time left. I miss telling HuskyAlum that story.
