What is the largest payday that an FCS school has ever received to play and FBS school?
Not sure if this is close, but Chuck South walked away from Florida State and a 62-10 ass whipping with a check for 1.3 million yesterday. This was the reported payout on ESPN Gameday yesterday.

That is BY FAR the biggest one I've ever heard of by at least double... you sure they didn't mean CSU earned $1.3m COMBINED the last two weeks form UCF and FSU? Even that figure combined strains credibility.

Yeah...that definitely can't be right. Appalachian State is to be making $1.2 million for visiting Michigan
if they're in the FBS at the time. $1 million if they're still in the FCS. That's a
huge payday.

I thought that sounded a little out of whack. Very likely they did say 1.3 combined but what I heard sounded like they meant for the FSU game. Either way that is a good two week payday for us.

I don't think there's any way they got $1.3 for even both games. I'm pretty sure Montana got $500k for a trip to UT last week, and didn't AppSt get $400k from VT? CSU got $450,000 from Florida a couple years ago and are getting $450,000 from UGA for two upcoming trips. I seriously doubt FSU is paying a lot more than UF or UGA and no way UCF is paying anywhere close to those figures.

Possible. Speaking of your fandom, somebody is paying South Alabama close to $1M for an upcoming game.
edit: I thought you asked "did they pay".

Two largest paydays if I am correct, for Montana were:
$750K for Iowa (year they allowed a 12th game and Iowa needed someone to open their renovated stadium)
$500 for Oregon and UT
Off memory, so I easily could be wrong.
