Major props to true freshmen Shaun Warren tonight for his performance in helping WCU beat Mars Hill 52-31. MHC hung tough and we only led 21-14 after one quarter, but from then on, all WCU. 45-17 at the half and Wags went WAY conservative in the 2nd half. MHC scored 2 cheap tds off a blocked punt and a long run against the 2nd string. Cool weather in the WHEE as it got down into the lows 60s after the sun set behind the mountain. Felt friggin' great! Good day, good win. OPEN DATE AWAITS! go cats!!!

I went from by reading the title of this thread to.... since it was against Mars Hill.

Regardless that's an impressive performance considering he's a true frosh.

Hey, we take any good news we can. Shaun Warren and Mike Vaughn are gonna be studs. FINALLY, we have an offense that can score.

very true, I completely agree. Congrats on the win. If this kid is doing this as a true frosh, can't imagine what he'll be like when he's a junior and senior.

Western doesn't seem to have a defense this year (or that's what it appears this early in the season) but that offense seems more legit than it has been (I watched some of the GT game). Western may win 3-5 games this year and pull an upset over a bigger boy. We'll see

I still stand by my 5-6 prediction. Defense is gonna have to step up though. The MH boys came to play last, 5 former Cats-either former players or kids recruited by Wagner I should say-were playing for MH so they came for a fight. But seeing that offense actually move the ball was pure gold. Hate you guys couldn't pull it out yesterday. Clemson fans on their message boards are beyond IRATE at Swinney this morning.

Theyre ACC fans...they have a massively overinflated sense of their own self worth (kinda like lakes and JBB).
