Kill is hooked up to an IV. Announcers are stating how hot it is.

Full stadium of silence.

From the press conference, it sounds like he had a seizure due to dehydration.

I was at the game today and it was unbelievably hot out for a football game in Minnesota....Kill literally just fell and started seizing and rumors were thrown around in the stands that it was a heart attack. thankfully it wasn't that. I have never heard 50,000 people so silent...it was unreal.

He had a seizure back in 2005 when SIU lost (big) to ISU red. That was pretty scary, too. They ended up calling off the rest of the game after he went down.

There's always been a lot of talk about his health adversely affecting his chances at getting a bigger job (like with Minnesota.) Really sucks to see that it came back up this early in his career with Minnesota. I don't know how he keeps going...

Obviously, I hope he is okay, and no, I will not be making puns about his last name.

Apparently, the last time he had an in-game seizure, he was back coaching next week again, anyway.

Kill has checked into Mayo Clinic........

One more seizure was one too many for Jerry Kill.

The Gophers football coach suffered another seizure Sunday morning, and despite his vow last week to keep working even as the problem recurred more than 20 times, Kill decided to take steps to get the seizures under control.

After being examined by team physician Dr. Pat Smith, Kill left the team and checked himself into Mayo Clinic in Rochester for further treatment.

"Rebecca and I have made the decision to do what it takes to find a solution," Kill, referring to his wife of 29 years, said in a statement released by the university. "I hope to be back to work soon, but we believe that taking some time away to get a handle on this is the right thing to do."

Smith cannot predict how long Kill, who was in good condition with strong vital signs after his latest seizure, will remain hospitalized, the statement said. The Gophers, who fell to 1-3 Saturday with a 37-24 loss to North Dakota State, are scheduled to open Big Ten play at Michigan on Saturday. Kill has been hospitalized during the football season in six of the past 12 years but has never missed a game

Thoughts and prayers go out to Coach Kill and his family. Maybe he needs to take a leave of absence to solve this because his health situation is more important right now.
