booth reviews

Anyone else have some review-happy officiating crews?
there must have been at least half a dozen of them during the UNI/ISU game (and it wasn't even televised).
I suppose it does help to get more calls right, but I think it can be overdone at times
and I'm guessing that the booth reviews are a conference-by-conference thing. The BCS-type conferences probably all do it, but I don't see there being enough quality camera-work in some of the lower FBS (and many of the FCS) conferences for such reviews to be feasible.

I dont think the CAA does it. If so I havent seen a replay booth on the sideline at ODU games. Heck I'm pretty sure a majority of FCS doesnt do it.

yeah, I'm pretty sure about that too.
I guess I was mostly just referring to these first few weeks where many FCS teams are playing an FBS team or two.

Had one overruled that helped us and had another overruled that resulted in an Ark touchdown. But I wish there was a way the review system could be universal in FBS AND FCS because there probably are 3-4 calls a game that could really hurt a team if there's no way of overruling them.

would require there to be decent camera crews filming all games.
BCS conferences can pull it off b/c of how many games are televised (and for the ones that aren't, they generally have fairly capable camera crews for their videoboards and whatnot).
However, that's not the case for all FCS (and some lower-tier FBS) schools, and some of those schools probably don't have the budget to hire decent camera crews for every game.
