The media concern or preaching of why Montana will give Tennessee a tough game is a little harder to pin-point although I have done it. See in 2011 it is not ok for a media member to say things that will hurt people's feelings even if it is the truth. The Kumbaya media that exists today lives by 2 rules; 1. Don't hurt anyone's feelings even if it means telling the truth. 2. Hold on to the myth of objectivity like your life depends on it. They won't say, Montana is middle of the pack Big Sky conference team. Montana would be knocked in the quarterfinals of the flag football intramurals at UTk. Montana is not good. Montana will get blown out. They won't say it because it might hurt someone's feelings. They won't say it because if Montana does keep it close they get to say "I told you so. You fans are dumb homers. You can never be objective like me!!!"
So we hear things like
"This Montana team is a tough hard nosed bunch. Tennessee better not over look them" ........................My grandmother is hard nosed too. I have overlooked Montana since May.
"This is the winningest team in FCS over the last decade. The Vols will have their handful".................The winningest FCS team??!!! You don't say!!!! The tallest midget will still get his ass kicked in a fight.
"Trumain Johnson is a fantastic player who will give Tennessee problems"......................................Holy hell look out for this 6th round draft pick at corner. What a game changer!!!
These are the facts. Fortunately for you I don't live by these rules. I live by what I see and what I know and I know that Montana is going to get their feelings hurt come Saturday. I know that their players aren't any good and never will be. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.
