The injury argument is complete bullshit. I defy anyone to show me stats that indicate a higher number of injuries v FBS than the rest of a team's schedule.

The injury report is unrelated to the I-A games. They just appeared in the same article.

Old Dominion coach Bobby Wilder's preference to stay away from scheduling Football Bowl Subdivision teams gained support from Delaware coach K.C. Keeler on Monday.
Huh???
Was Bobby the originator of the idea or something? Keeler's been on the record about this topic for years, adding fuel to the fire of our competitors who NEED that 1A game financially to float their program.
Mickie declared his desire to no longer play the 1A games in his press conference earlier this week as well.

Same old s$#t we've heard for years, nothing new out of this. UD will play FBS teams in 12-game seasons, no longer in 11-game seasons. Keeler's top prioirty is to make the playoffs & they'll need to be 7-4 to do that after we drop West Chester next year.

Navy typically compensates for their size disadvantage by blocking low, sometimes less than ethically.

We took a particular beating on the injury front in 2007, and that was well into the season. I like getting this game out of the way early this year and then having a couple of easier games afterward to lick our kneecaps.

Blaming injuries on low blocking is BS. It's perfectly legal and can be defeated if you keep your hands out in front of yourself.

Keeler's right: Keep your eyes on the prize, which is the playoffs.

Agreed. But don't use whiny crybaby defenisve lineman as a reason.
Hey 93, you get Fox 45? The morning snuggle was smoking hot today!

Thanks for the reminder. I need to check. I know I get the DC stations. I watched the CBS news (Ch 9 I think) the other night and it was the first time I've ever seen a newscast where EVERY SINGLE PERSON was black. Both anchors, weather, traffic, and sports!

If you get both DC and Baltimore, you'll enjoy the added NFL coverage. The two markets don't always have the same games on.

True. It's just a stupid that people say because they have heard the shit passed around as fact for so long. I wish I could find it because someone posted a study on sports injuries back in like 2006-2007 on AGS that made it clear that there is zero increase of injuries in FCS vs. FBS but if I remember right there was a slight increase when FCS plays D2.

Not in MontCo. We get both plus Philly Fox at the beach. It's like having a Mid-Atlantic NFL package for free.

No where in the quoted artical did Keeler say a thing about injuries from a FBS game. Cap'n Cat and you like to create things that aren't there. Kind of like the stimulus jobs.

Defensive end Eddie McClam said that when he made a trip to Philadelphia over the summer for a family reunion he couldn’t help himself as he drove by Newark, Del.
“As soon as I saw the exit, I stopped and parked in their parking lot and looked at the stadium,” McClam said. “And then I said, ‘I’m coming for ya.’

Great. We heard that from DelSt too.

That must have been the guy I thought was homeless when I was picking up my season tickets. It scared the shit outta me when he said he was "coming for me".

That sucks. My in-laws get both in PG County. And my Parents in HoCo. Pretty sure Anne Arundel gets both too. I guess MoCo chooses to not get it because getting Baltimore stations would remind them that they are part of Maryland and not Virginia.

They must have a shit-ton of speed cameras in Virginia then.
