I've no idea. I'm not even convinced (yet) A&M will get the SEC invite but I think they leave the BigXII. Then again, they (SEC) just may be waiting so there's no legal backlash.

Every TV station here has them out by weeks end....we'll see if they get it done that fast. (and then go from there.)

I think it likely that Texas a&m will get that SEC invite and the only 3 logical possibilities to add would be Missouri, Oklahoma or Oklahoma state. Any other opinions out there on this?

They will ANNOUNCE it. They are not actually leaving the conference until after this season is over. That would be the stupidest thing I have ever seen a college team do.

Or if they want to pillage the ACT then Carolina or Virginia tech might be possibilities. Can't see anybody in the big least worth grabbing except maybe west Virginia, but I find that highly doubtful.

Yes, they would leave as of July 1, 2012. (and then be ...wherever)

Ags are going to the SEC. It is just a matter of keeping themselves eligible and free from lawsuits. They are following the Nebraska exit plan. Mizzou makes the most sense for the SEC as they bring two major media markets to the footprint.

Personally I'd love to see Arkansas come back to the fold in a trade of sorts.

What about Florida State or Clemson? I know the Gators and Cocks probably wouldn't be too fond of that, but it makes more sense than Mizzou... to me at least

I heard that Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina will block any attempts to incorporate Clemson, Florida State, or GeorgiaTech.

Missouri does not want to go to the SEC and said as much in a statement. Oklahoma doesn't want to go to the SEC because they don't want to compete with recruiting. SEC wants to add another eastern team if they can, that way they don't have to shuffle divisions. With all those being eliminated being eliminated, I think Virginia Tech would be an excellent choice. New media market, Good program, good tradition, like an SEC school they prefer football over basketball. Yeah, they got clobbered by Stanford, and the ACC really hasn't produced much of a product in recent years on the football field, but I think that they Hokies could eventually recruit to compete in the East. I mean, Vanderbilt and Kentucky are in the east for goodness sake. Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida are wayyyy down. South Carolina is having one of their best few years in program history but there's no telling how long that will last. I think the Hokies could compete, maybe not right away, but soon. My money would be on them getting the invite

I like the Missouri pick. But I think you are going to see ACC schools fill the other slots. UNC, Miami, and Ga. Tech have all had issues with the NCAA recently. I don't think any of them make great matches for the SEC, so maybe FSU VT & Missouri???

Throw in West Virgina to get all the 'billy schools together

I mean really, who cares???

actually....SEC takes team from ACC that takes team from Big East that takes team from CUSA that invites App State to FBS. very relevant
