You know the deal... only I-AA vs I-AA games are eligible, therefore week one is always a little paltry. Don't like the list? Tough shit.

I REALLY wanted to go with the spotlight game, but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger.
I went with SUU/SDSU instead. Out of that list, it's the game I'd most like to attend.

I picked Alcorn and Grambling not because it will be the best game, but because it probably has the best backstory. Alcorn has Melvin Spears who was head coach at Grambling, he hired some former Grambling Assistants. He's related to Doug Williams who is coaching Grambling again. Also anytime Doug is on the sidelines it's never boring. Alcorn/Grambling is a rivalry already so this just makes it better. I wish I could make it to this game.

Umass-Holy Cross: First night game at Fitton and two old rivals for perhaps the last time. They're expecting 20k for this one which would be the larget crowd for a HC game in 20+ years.

Cross fans are hoping for 20k, but I don't think they will get that many. I went Tennessee-Martin at Jacksonville State.....just because the rest looked pretty boring. Although in hindsight I probably would have gone SUU-SDSU.
