I try to do the "who could beat who" theory. I felt that Texas State could beat every team below them in the ranking.

Did we forget that Weber lost to an unranked EWU
Prolly didn't forget but that blemish is one that should lower Weber below 3.
Other than that you are a genious

It was a blip, but I still feel Weber would beat every team below them, and they did split with Montaha.

JMU was overrated.
Badly.

Hmm - wonder how it would have been had the semis been Richmond at Montana, UNI at JMU?

3, 4, & 5 are the toughies...despite the turnovers in the Semi's...JMU showed how tough they were...I'd call it a wash with Weber and JMU...then UNI, but I think CP was a few teams high...despite the loss to Richmond...Appy was up there...then possibly CP and Villanova...again the field is really tight.
Only other's I see odd, I'd put Maine over Colgate, and drop W&M below Liberty (just think W&M had a soft sched., and the only serious game they won this year was NH...the 23-20 OT loss to Richmond, while it sounds close, wasn't...Richmond man-handled W&M up until the 4th, when the Spiders D started melting down...again, outside NH, the season was very soft...I'd even consider challenging their top 20 finish over Maine.)
One last item...where's UT Martin? Jville and Albany over UT Martin...dunno about that.
Side, private note to you dback...if you didn't see the CA State Champ. Open Div. HS game between Long Beach Poly and Grant...I'm getting game film...there's a lot of beef on the hoof between those two teams...some might end up heading out your way.

I debated on including UT-Martin - they were #26 in the poll. Albany I think deserved consideration.
Didn't see the CA Champ game, but it would be great to get some of that prime CA Beef on the lines.

Furman had 5 blips this year

Blip, flip, flop take your pick. Never seen a Furman team look as totally unexcited as the last two games of the year.

And, that's football. I left that game knowing I saw a hard fought battle.

Yeah, I don't know a thing, dukesghost. I do know how to spell "obviously".
Your team was horrid.
